Soft raindrops hit the glass window of a cafe in the corner of a quiet alley. The smell of the rain mixing with the aroma of the brewing coffee. The soft drops became harder and faster causing everyone that was outside to seek for a dry, warm place to stay in until the heavy rainfall stops. While everyone went inside malls or stores, a particular male ran towards the cafe that was located in the corner of a quiet alley. Running with all his might, Jungkook tried his best not to fall and slip. He didn't know why his feet decided to make him run else where, while everyone was running towards stores close by. Jungkook suddenly stopped in front of a cafe, scanning what was inside through the wide glass window. He quickly went inside, pushing the door with his slippery hands. Warm air greeted his face as soon as he stepped inside. Droplets of water slid down the tips of Jungkook's hair, falling down to his wet black hoodie. The cashier greeted him with a simple "hello" as he walked to an empty table with his cheeks flushed a tint of red from all the running he did. Jungkook took deep breaths to stabilize his breathing.
INHALE
EXHALE
And repeat.
As Jungkook looked around the cafe, he noticed that there were only a few customers around. A couple sitting two tables away from him. A mother with her child. And, a man reading a space magazine.
The longer Jungkook sat with a damp jacket, the more he felt the cold soaking through his skin. He decided to buy himself a warm cup of caramel macchiato. Walking up to the counter, Jungkook took side glances at the man reading the space magazine.
The orange tint from the peeking sun, highlights the man's features. His soft hair falling to his face as the man leans towards the magazine focusing on an article. His elbows resting on the wooden table.
"Excuse me sir?" The voice of the cashier took Jungkook's attention away from the man.
"Ah, yes?" Jungkook quickly turned his head to the voice, squinting his eye as he quickly scanned the menu, wondering if he wanted something else rather than a caramel macchiato.
"What would you like to order?" The cashier asked Jungkook.
"A small hot caramel macchiato please." Jungkook looked down as he digged his pockets for his wallet.
"That would be $4.25, thank you for ordering." The cashier looked at Jungkook waiting for the payment.
"Ah-Um-" Jungkook mumbled as he frantacly searched for his wallet.
As Jungkook searched for his non existent wallet, the man who was reading the magazine looked up. Understanding the situation, the man placed his magazine down and stood up, taking his own wallet with him.
"Here you go." The man spoke standing behind Jungkook as he hand a 5 dollar bill to the cashier.
The man's voice was deep but soothing. A voice that you would never get tired of listening to. Jungkook turned his head to meet a broad chest. Cranking his neck up, Jungkook's dark brown orbs met the other pair. Blood rushing to his checks, as the man that Jungkook was just checking out was now infront of him; inches apart. Just as fast as he turned his head, Jungkook quickly looked away darting his eyes to the ground.
"Here is your change sir." The cashier handed the man his change.
The cashier then turned to Jungkook, "Can I get your name," she asked taking out a pen and an empty cup on the other hand.
"Jungkook." Jungkook leaned in as he quietly answered, conscious of the man behind him.
Jungkook didn't notice that as soon as the man received his change, he returned to his seat, focusing on the article that he was reading. After Jungkook said his name, he turned around to thank the man but he was not behind him anymore. The young male quickly looked around and spotted the man at his table. Jungkook took a deep breath and slowly walked to the table where the man was sitting.
