Liliana's POV

13 Minutes past 7 o'clock and no one had arrived.. My friends had promised they would be on time. There might be something holding them up. "Im sure their just stuck in traffic" My mom reasured me, the problem is that we live in the middle of nowhere. There is no traffic.

My 16th birthday so far had been the worst of all. I fell out of bed, dropped my phone, lost my house key, got dumped and my friends arnt talking to me.

I was starting to get very worried when it was 7:30 with no reply from any of my friends. Where are they? Why did they lie to me? Are they okay? Why won't they respond? The questions racing through my head over and over again. I looked over at my mom, who was packing away some of the food. "I'm sorry, honey. They must have forgotten." Mom walked over and hugged me tightly, kissing my forehead. "It's alright, I'll ask them at school why they didn't come." She nodded and returned into the house.

I sighed, there isn't anything I can do. They weren't answering their phones. They weren't at my party and they gave me no heads up.

-----Flashback start-----

"Lilli, over here!" Madeline, my best friend flagged me down in the crowd of hungry teens. I went over to see her sitting with our friends. She motioned for me to sit. "Are you guys coming to my party on Sunday? It's at my house." They all nodded. "Of course! Wouldn't miss it for the world!" Maddie fisted the air, receiving giggles from Tommy and Lucy. "Yeah, can't wait." Tommy had his arm around Lucy, they had been dating for a month now. It was cute. " thanks, it starts at 7pm. We're gonna have a fire going with scary stories AND SMORES!" Sreaming the last part got me stares from other tables. I meerly giggled.

-----End of flashback-----

Everyone lied. They said they would be here. "Wouldn't miss it for the world"  "can't wait!" They lied. How could they?
