Sakura stared at Sasuke in shock. It had been years since they last saw each other; She was a genin and was pretty crazy for him, not that he liked her, in fact he really never shown any interest in her. He usually pushed her away, calling her annoying.

On that note, Sakura felt pretty embarrassed to be standing right before him years later, working for him. Wow, so this is Sasuke now, huh? Sakura thought, her cheeks beginning to feel hot. Realizing, she quickly covered her cheeks.

Pft! He's not THAT special. Don't fall for him again Sakura, he hurt you once and that's the only chance he'll ever get to do it again! Sakura thought, coaching herself through her emotions. She took a deep breath and was back to her regular self, besides her agitated facial expression.

Sasuke smirked at that. "What's funny?" Sakura asked. Sasukes smirk faded, once again serious. "Oh nothing, I just didn't think my Apprentice would be a girl. Surely not you either, Sakura." Sasuke said staring at Sakura. She's definitely matured, but I wonder if that's just physically.. Sasuke thought to himself, the thought of Sakura actually maturing and never fan girling over him was kind of off-setting.

"Well, what can I say? I must be good at what I do." Sakura said, limiting her speaking. She didn't want to say anything too rash. She might not be so fond of her boss right now but this is the best job opportunity she's ever got. "Hm," Sasuke walked over to his shelf, where he read over a file, "No doubt about intelligence but..They say you're the second strongest Kunoichi, and you specialize in medicine?" Sasuke asked raising his eyebrows. "Hn!" Sakura nodded proudly. "I'll believe it when I see it." Sasuke mumbled, closing his file and placing it back on the shelf. "What?!" Sakura snapped. Sasuke looked at her. "You don't believe me?! I can show you now--I'm the best you've ever seen! Ask anyone--even Lady Tsunade--I've learned from the best--I know what I'm doing!!" Sakura yelled, suddenly forgetting how to control her mouth.

Sasuke tilted his head "What? I didn't say anything--" "OH I HEARD YOU, UCHIHA." Sakura yelled, her face now red. Sasuke walked over to Sakura, his face expressionless, their faces only inches apart. Now that they were up close, Sakura realized that Sasuke was really tall. She looked up to him, her same agitated expression.

"I think you're forgetting..." Sasuke said leaning closer to Sakura. "I'm your Boss now." Sasuke said looking into Sakura's eyes, challenging her to disrespect him again. Sakura looked away, and hesitantly pulled back. Truth is, she wouldn't get mad at him over something so dumb. I need to let go of the past, I can't let that cloud my judgement and actions. I could've almost lost my job. Sakura thought and sighed. "You're right. I'm sorry Sasuke." Sakura said, forcing a smile.

"Hm. Call me Boss, we're not friends. You work for me. Understood?" Sasuke said looking her in the eyes once more. "...yes, understood Sasuk--I mean boss! Boss, sorry. Sorry boss--I mean Sasuk--wait no just..." Sakura's eyes widened with embarrassment. "Boss." Sasuke said. "Boss." Sakura repeated after him and smiled. There was a long silence after that, neither said anything. Sasukes stare into Sakura's glistening eyes. Sakura's joyful smile to Sasuke...

*knock, knock* the door opened allowing a blond, though rather yellow, haired boy inside. "Hey Sasuke! I got those Rice Balls I promised I would get ya but this time I--" the boy came to a halt upon seeing Sasuke, hovered over Sakura. "Naruto, you should knock." Sasuke grinned looking back. Sakura's eyebrows tensed. Narutoo. She thought. Naruto had helped her get this job, though he never stated who she'd be working for..

Naruto, Sakura, and Ino both sat around the circular marble table. "I'm telling ya Sakura! Let me help you I know this guy! And yea, this guy's pretty big and famous and all--but he's not better then me of course! But this guy, he's a pro! I highly recommend you work here!" Naruto said, or at least said really loud, to Sakura. "Oh yea and why would I trust you to get me a job?" Sakura asked crossing her arms. "What?! Why would you not?!" Naruto said, his voice cracking. "Maybe because your not the brightest crayon in the box, Naruto." Ino sighed. "What?! Yea I am! I'll have you know I'm one of the best Shinobi you'll ever meet!" Naruto protested. "Yea yea." Ino frowned resting her head on her hand. "I mean, Ino does have a point Naruto, your not the best at jobs and stuff. What could you have that could possibly make me relevant to the business?" Sakura asked. "Well I'm not saying any names, but this person I know happens to be prreettyyy successful, and he's a great shinobi like me!" "So why would he need me then?" Sakura asked. "Well I mean he's so popular and all that he can't do everything by himself! He'll need a great uhhh, what do you call them? Helpers or something? Yea, something like that." "You mean Apprentice?" Ino asked. "Yea that! He needs an apprentice to help! Or at least give him some free time." Naruto said smiling. Sakura didn't like the look of that smile, sweat was trickling down Naruto's head. He was definitely up to something.
