As I walk out if the bathroom after sending my bed home, I bump into Allie. Allie has been my best friend since kindergarten I've always told her everything, well almost everything. She doesn't know about me being a werewolf, witch, and siren. No one does. Mom and Ethan just think I'm weird andmy friends think I'm crazy. Allie looks up from her phone screen and immediately hugs me.
"Oh my gosh,Tay! I've been calling you all morning. Are you mad at me or something," Allie gushes while she hugs me tightly. "If you are mad at me, then at least tell me why so I can try and fix it. Besides, I've got fantastic news."
"Allie chill, I'm not mad at you. My phone was off so I didn't know you called," I say in between giggles. "Now what's the big news?"
"I didn't say big, I said fantastic. Geez, Tay maybe you should work on listening better," Allie said with a smirk on her face.
"Allie," I whined, gathering her full attention back. "Please just tell me, I need something to look forward to this year."
"Fine, there's a new guy that parked right next to your black truck," Allie practically squealed. "He's really cute. He's wearing all black and he isn't showing his eyes to anyone!"
My smile immediately dropped. She chose to get my hopes up over some boy. She should know me better than that. "So what, another guy to call me weird, or Matilda, or worse. Why is that fantastic news," I asked in a bitter voice. I regretted it as soon as the words left my mouth. "Shit, I'm sorry Allie!"
"I told you because it's a chance to meet someone new. Besides, here's your schedule," Allie muttered while digging through her papers.
As Allie handed me my schedule, I caught a glimpse of him. She was right. He definitely was cute, and he was walking with Matt, my ex-boyfriend.
"Hey Allie is that him? Walking with Matt?"
"Yeah, I told you he was cute, but I see you caught that," Allie giggled, nudging my arm.
"He's wow! Do you know anything about him? Like his name or age," I asked, my eyes never leaving his face.
"No, but he's looking at you Tay."
All at once, he started walking towards us and I couldn't make my eyes leave his face. I surprised myself because I realized that I really didn't want to.
