"We'll take care of Hobi here, why don't you and Namjoon go find your friend Kookie so you know he's safe too, yeah?" Yoongi asked, looking down at Seokjin. "Are you okay with that?" Seokjin just nodded, playing with his sleeves a bit. He didn't like this situation at all.

Namjoon smiled shyly at the currently younger, holding out his hand a bit for the smaller boy. "I don't need to hold your hand," The boy said quietly. "I'm not a toddler." The elder quickly retracted his hand, nodding a bit and turning to lead the younger outside. Seokjin followed silently, looking at the ground the whole time.

"Are you hungry?" Namjoon asked quietly, playing a bit with his sleeves as Seokjin walked in front of him to lead the older to where his friend was.

"Always."

"We'll make you and your friends some food when we get back." The tall boy spoke, keeping himself a few feet behind the smaller male. Given he got the sense he didn't like him all too much.

"Alright." Namjoon bit his lip for a second, taking off his jacket and placing it on the little one's shoulders.

"You looked cold, your shirt is a bit too thin to keep you warm. It's getting colder."

"I'll be fine."

"I don't really need it, anyway. Just keep it on, yeah?"

Seokjin sighed a bit. "Fine..." The oversized jacket seemed to provide the same amount of warmth you'd receive if you were sat in front of a campfire. The faint smell of cologne musked the inside of it as well. The younger smiled slightly, wrapping the jacket around himself a bit more, enjoying the warmth.

"Doesn't it get scary around here at night?" Namjoon asked, looking around the abandoned area most people avoided, but held a few memories for him.

"You get used to it."

"I've been here dozens of times before– okay maybe less than a dozen– but I still can't come here alone when it's nightfall. It freaks me out."

"It's not that bad..."

"Well, it's not the place itself. I just have bad paranoia."

"There are usually some sketchy people around."

"Is Hobi usually the one who protects you and Jungkook?"

"He tries to, but he isn't very good at it. He hasn't grown much, so the most he can do is catch like a squirrel."

"Ah, well he'll get there for sure. He's only a pup, right?"

"Mhm. He said he's eight."

"Awe, that's cute."

"Did your soulmate die, too?"

"Yeah." Namjoon whispered, looking at his feet.

"How come you guys stuck around this long?"

"I promised I'd wait for him to come back."

"Wouldn't it just be easier to be reborn with them?"

"He didn't want me to kill myself, that's the only way I would be able to do that."

"What was he like?"

"He was the prettiest guy I've ever met." Namjoon chuckled. "He was always making jokes and scolded all of us because he was older than all of us, but I wasn't with him for that long. He was killed the day after we got together..."

"Were they at least good jokes?"

"They were dad jokes."

"Did he have any redeeming qualities?"
