Now a days it just seems like we are just medicating the nation.

Oh you have Depression?

Here's some Xanax so you can go back to being happy.

Oh you have Anxiety?

Here take some Prozac now you can be the life of the party.

Oh you have PTSD?

Have some Zoloft now you won't get flashbacks about Iraq.

Oh you have a eating disorder Bulmia? Anorexia?

Will here you go Prozac.

Oh wait isn't that the same pill used for Anxiety a completely different disorder?

yet we using the same pill?

Actually not only is it the same for Anxiety and Anorexic but for everyone of this disorders I have listed.

All of this pills are SSRIs or Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.

How do they expect to treat such different disorders with the same thing.

It makes no sense.

Somebody that has anxiety can not be treated with the same method for someone with depression.

So we have to ask the question does it making us better?

Are we given the same pill for different disorders just because they affect the same part of the brain?

Just how you wouldn't try to hammer in a screw or try to screw in a nail.

We shouldn't try to cure PTSD with the same methods used for Bulmia.

We need to stop this one pill cures all and handle this on a case-by-case basis with therapy.

Not medicate everybody who walks through our office with the same pill for a different disorder.
