Day two. I do my usual morning routine. I chose a skin tight black dress to wear to school and I curled my dark brown hair. Finally after the third hour of getting ready I confidently walked down the stairs. I wasn't hungry so I told Lisa to meet me in the car when she was ready. When I saw her head towards the car I put my ear buds in. I always do what I can to avoid any contact with Lisa. All she ever did since coming into this family was blow my dads hard earned money and make my life hell.
She gets in the car and I simply stare out of the window. About five minutes of being on the road I feel my ear buds fall out. I look over to see why and to my surprise it wasn't by accident. I roll my eyes and put them back in. Once again Lisa pulled them out. The process repeated itself for a bit when I finally gave up.
"WHAT?!" I basically scream.

"We need to talk." She replys barley taking her eyes off the road.

"No thanks."

"It wasn't a question."

"Well I gave you an answer."

I feel a tight grip on my shoulder and the car slow down. "LOOK THIS IS HOW ITS GOING TO GO. YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE BUT I DO. YOUR DAD WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING I SAY OVER YOU THEREFORE I ADVISE YOU TO QUIT YOUR BRATTY ATTITUDE AND SPEAK TO ME WHEN SPOKEN TO OR YOUR GOING TO HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS."

Did she honestly just threaten me? Who does she think she is she isn't my mother and she definitely doesn't treat me like her daughter. And my dad wouldn't really choose her over me. Right? I can't say anything I just stare in utter and complete amazement. She starts the car back up and drives me to school as if nothing had ever happened.
When I get to school I honestly didn't want to talk to anyone especially Nick he was nice and reply cute but, I wasn't in the moos and I don't want to have to snap on him today. I go straight to class with my ear buds hoping that everyone will just get the hint and leave me alone. I take them out when the teacher comes in. Good. Nobody sat beside me.
I look over to my left and see Nick sitting with his friends. I avoid eye contact with him. Towards the middle of my science lesson the classroom door opens. Its Trey and "lucky" for me the seat beside me is the only available one. He sits beside me and Mr. Lancaster doesn't say anything. He just passes out the daily assignment.
The whole room starts talking and acting like they are working together. The only two people not saying a word is Trey and I. I just continue working when he surprisingly breaks the silence.

"Thanks."

"For?"

"Not telling Nick what I said yesterday."

"I'm bad at many things but keeping my mouth shut isn't one of them."

He just laughs. That smile. Oh my lord that smile. His perfectly white straight teeth. The way his mouth curves when he smiles. I even she a small simple in his cheek. STOP IT!! STUPID BRIAN!! YOU DIDN'T COME HERE TO FALL FOR SOME STUPID BOY THAT'S JUST GOING TO HURT YOU. THEY ALL LEAVE SO DON'T GET TOO CLOSE. I turned my head to the right.

"You okay?" He asks putting a warm hand on my shoulder. His touch makes me feel so protected. STOP YOU STUPID BRAIN.

"Fine. I just just need to go to the bathroom." I jump out of my seat with my bags and run out of the classroom and into the bathroom. I'm so confused. Why does he act like he cares? He doesn't does he? I mean he can't he was so mean to me on my first day plus he's the most known bad boy at this school why would he be nice to ME?
