They said he'd turn me mad,

With his nonsense and riddles.

Why is a raven like a writing desk?

Will we ever know?

His logic strange.

His logic lost.

They got one thing wrong though,

In their ambition of my downfall.

They said it would be my husband.

They were wrong, for a little girl,

Small and Sweet,

Was the cause of my collapse.

She came tumbling down that hole.

That rabbits stupid creation.

And let me tell you something, ladies.

She is a sweet pest, a little blight,

An adorable bother.

She is the wondrous bane of my life.

She is not the one at fault,

I see his colours clear and true.

They glue from the hats,

The mercury in dangerous excess.

No excuse.

He is the loved brute who tore my heart in two.
