                           "Sona hurry up, everybody is waiting" Elena called for Sonakshi who was still getting ready for Diwali pooja, as she came home late due to some emergency at the hospital.

"Coming." Sonakshi said while adjusting her dupatta and opened the door for Elena who gawked at her with gaping mouth in awe, Sonakshi cocked her eyebrows at her expressions "What?"

"WOW! you look stunning Sona." Elena gushed as she took Sonakshi in from her dark blue lehenga to the sheer gold dupatta draped at her left shoulder, while her waist peeked from the right, her smoky eyes stood out in her otherwise makeup free features and her open hair framed her face like a doll. She blushed a little at Elena's compliment and smiled in response.

"Let's go we are already late!" Sonakshi said after they both heard Asha calling for them ending their admiring session and headed to the hall where pooja was supposed to take place.

Elena and Sonakshi were surprised to see Naina with Asha there, lighting the Diyas. They rushed towards her and hugged her gleefully before both chimed together "Diii We missed you so much! when did you come?"

"Didn't you say jiju was busy so you wouldn't be able to make it?" Elena asked after letting Naina go from their bone crushing hug while she took a deep breath of relief after their literal attack.

"I missed you both too and well, Surprise!" Naina said wriggling her eyebrows mischievously adding "hila dala na" making all of them laugh. Asha shook her head at her three daughters and decided to intrude their sister moment "Girls! yeh bharat milap baad mein abhi...."

".....pooja ka muhrat nikal jayega" Sonakshi completed Asha's sentence and sat her down "We know mumma but you need to calm down"

Asha stood up again making all three of them shake their head "I would have calmed down but guests are about to arrive for the Diwali party, so we need to hurry up"

"Oh thank god you reminded me...Maashi I told you about my important guest right" Naina confirmed while Sonakshi and Elena looked at them confused.

"Who Di?"

"Do you remember Anjali? My college friend, I met her at Vivek's office and coincidentally Vivek's next deal is also with her husband, so I invited them to our Diwali party"

"That's great Di but where is jiju" Elena asked as they all moved towards the idol of goddess Lakshmi where Asha was standing with the pooja thaal in her hands "You know him, as usual in a meeting." Naina whispered before they all joined their hands in front of the idols and the pooja commenced.  

After they were done with all the rituals Asha caressed their heads "Hey bahgwan mere bachho ko buri nazar se bachaye rakhna or inki hamesha raksha krna" with her hand lingering on Sonakshi a little longer. Understanding Asha's train of thoughts Sonakshi took her hand in hers.

"oh mumma, take a chill pill, your daughter can protect herself, I'm strong and imperishable" Sonakshi said patting her non-existent bicep making Naina and Elena laugh while Asha twisted her ear making her wince "what happened to strong now huh! Can protect yourself? then what happened that day..if not for that girl who saved you, I can't even imagine wha..."  Asha couldn't complete her sentence as she remembered her daughter lying unconscious on the hospital bed and shuddered at the thought.

"Mumaa, I'm here in front of you and completely alright. You really need chill pills mother India" Sonakshi said hugging her while she chuckled at her daughter's antic. Hamesha aisi hi rehna mera bacha hasti hui , hasaati hui Asha prayed silently.
