The next morning, I prayed for no one to remember the events of yesterday as I changed into my uniform. I brushed the nest atop my head and sighed heavily. I knew that I'd be bombarded with questions by Izuku and Ochaco- maybe even receiving a slap or two for not telling them about my 'fever'. Yes, that is what I told everybody who called me up yesterday, just to avoid all the uncomfortable questions. So far, only Shinsō and Shōto were aware of what really occurred that day, and maybe even Aizawa sensei- after all, he knows everything that happens with his students.

I glanced at the box of cookies left by the dinner table, my eyebrows scrunching together, which usually indicated that I was upset or afraid. I shook my head, attempting to calm my racing heart as I got ready to face the day ahead.

The walk to school was more normal than I had prepared myself for. A few students nodded in my direction when our eyes met, probably terrified of the monstrous me they heard about in rumors. I'd say most of it was true but it was only my terrible temper that acted. I wouldn't intentionally harm anyone.

"Y/n!" A loud, otherwise sweet and cheerful voice yelled angrily. I gulped, bracing myself for the scolding and a steaming Ochaco.

"Why didn't you say anything?" She looked more hurt than mad, pulling me into a fatal hug.

"Ocha- Cha..Co" I croaked, literally being squeezed to death by the slightly chubby and soft yet strong girl. She ignored my protests and placed her hands on my shoulders, an all too familiar look appearing on her face.

It was the serious Ochaco Uraraka.

And trust me when I tell you, it's hard as hell to escape without giving her what she wants.

"Tell me what happened. We've been friends a time long enough for me to know that you can beat a silly fever. So, tell me what really happened," She said, but it was soft. It was soothing, as if she cared deeply about me.

"It really was a fever, Ochaco," I mustered a wide smile on my paler than usual face, letting stray strands of hair fall on my face.

She looked at me skeptically but was interrupted before she could even utter a word as Izuku called our names. The short boy waved at us, a massive grin on his face as always. It warmed me- that boy did. He was so kind and pure; always making me feel like a protective elder sister.

Ochaco's cheeks transformed into a baby pink shade upon seeing the cheerful boy and waved back at him.

"Morning, Sunshine," I smirked at him.

"Good morning!" He smiled, before remembering yesterday's incidence. "What happ-"

"Fever," I replied before he could complete his question.

"Fever? Now that I think about it, you were quite pale- still are! I should have taken your temperature into account when I touched your hand. I can't remember the exact value but I'm sure it was warmer. Yes, I do believe it was. The loudness could have triggered a headache too, which may have made it worse..." Izuku's fingers tapped against his chin as he mumbled.

"Midoriya!" Ochaco shook the boy's shoulder, pulling him back to reality.

"Yeah? Oh, sorry. Did I start...?"

"Yep, you did." I confirmed.

"Anyway, did Todoroki visit you yesterday?" The little brunette asked.

"How did you know?" I jumped, my voice louder and higher than normal.

"We asked him to check on you. All Might wanted to talk to us for a while, which usually takes an hour or so but it was pretty educative..."
