I was at my grandmas house once when I was a child.I think it was sometime in December. There was at least a foot of snow on the ground. I was sitting at the table looking outside. I noticed something peculiar. A single, red rose was blooming. It was in the snow, but the flower was about 8 inches above the surface of the snow. The rich red petals and the deep green stem stood out beautifully from the glistening snow around it. I had no clue how it grew there, it should’ve died in the cold. Nevertheless, it was truly beautiful.
