Cassidy got out of her last lesson and had to physically restrain herself from falling to her knees and thanking Jesus. Sometimes she just fucking hated children and questioned all her life choices. James had asked her if she wanted to get drinks with him and a few of the other teachers, but she hated social interaction, so she was probably not gonna do that. Daisy had to work another shift at the hospital, so Cass was going to have to get a taxi home, which was depressing, because talking to people is stressful. She pulled out her phone and called the taxi company, arranging for a car to arrive at the school in about ten minutes, then she wandered out to the car park to wait.

The car, thankfully, arrived quickly. Cass gave the driver her address, then leaned back as they drove, enjoying the relative peace of the car. The taxi dropped her off outside her flat, and she paid, then fumbled her way up to her door. Thankfully, she'd been there more than enough that she could find their door with relative ease. She let herself in the front door, then let out a muffled scream as a hand slapped over her mouth and another clamped on her wrist, dragging her into the apartment.

Cassidy panicked and struggled until a familiar giggle in her ear made her relax.

"Hey, Cass!" her sister cooed in her ear, releasing her and shoving the door closed.

Cass took a deep breath, then flailed around furiously until one of her hands made contact.

"Ow!" Emily shrieked.

"That's what you get!" Cass shouted, slapping at her again. "That's what you get for scaring me half to death, I almost had a heart-attack!"

"Sorry, sorry," Emily protested, grabbing Cassidy's wrists. "Aren't you happy to see your baby sister?"

"Oh, yeah, thrilled?" Cass rolled her eyes. "What d'you want?"

"I'm just here for the dress fitting, sweetie!"

"Huh?"

"Bridesmaid dresses!"

"Oh..." Cass frowned, processing this. "We're doing it in my flat, now?"

"No, stupid, I just came to pick you up," Emily huffed. "I knew Daisy was working, and you hate taxis, so I thought I'd do my sister a good turn, and come all the way to her flat to get her!"

"How kind of you," Cass replied dryly.

"Isn't it?" Emily replied cheerfully. "Now come on, we've gotta get going if we're going to meet the other girls."

"But I just got here," Cassidy groaned. Emily laughed, grabbing her hands and lifting her to her feet.

"Come on, lazy bones, let's go."

Cass trailed after Emily to her car, and allowed herself to be bundled into the passenger seat. Emily flopped into the driver's seat and started the car.

"So..." she began, and Cass sighed.

"So what?"

"So, tell me about British stalker guy?"

"Ugh," Cassidy grumbled, covering her face with her hands."What's Daisy been saying to you?"

"Just that you guys went out on a date? How could you not tell me?!"

"It wasn't a date, it was just ... tea. And scones. Nothing special."

"Yeah, okay," Emily scoffed, obviously far from believing her. "But you're going out again?"

"Oh my god, Daisy really can't keep her mouth shut, can she?"

"Come on, Cass, spill," Emily urged.
