I walked into school once more. Everyday was a boring and endless cycle, there was nothing ever interesting. I never cared what anyone thought anymore, and i'm pretty sure people noticed. It's not that I felt alone, but nothing ever happened. It was all the same, every second of every day.
But, the one of the only things that kept me acting as normal as usual in this boring cycle... Was a certain person.
I know I had no chance in hell with them but knowing that they were okay and happy kept me happy and friendly. It seemed like there was only one light in the night sky, and no matter how weird it may seem to other people, this was how I lived. With false hope.
Later that day, band arrived. My favorite hour. Because he was there. It was good and all that I had friends in that class but it also the only class I had that did things, one of the other reasons I am kept happy. It changes, it isn't always the same. There's so much to learn, do, and memorize. It's just a whole lt of fun.
"Hey," I said softly to the other percussionists and got to my instrument. Soon enough, we started playing and the teacher announced the important upcoming dates. Once we were dismissed for the day I sat down in one of the black chairs in the back.
"You're not leaving?" Isabelle, my best friend, asked as she passed me.
I shook my head, "No I need to talk to the teacher, i'm having a mini-lesson for next year."
Isabelle shrugged. "Okay then. Well see ya tomorrow!"
I nodded and waved good bye. Not long after she had left, I had become bored, so I took out my phone and began to play a weird RPG game. Luckily, no one was around me to see what I was playing so I wasn't worried about weird looks from people passing by. I was so into the game, I didn't even notice the people who had came in through band to get to the choir room.
I heard the teacher call my name and I got up and walked up to the office.
"Please go to the triangle room. We'll start lessons there." She said. I nodded and began to walk away towards the triangle room.
When I entered, the room was pitch black. The windows were covered with thick curtains, even the ones leading to the other rooms. I had to fumble for a chair.
Not long after I had sat down, the door to the choir room opened and I could see a dark figure outlined in the light. When they closed the door and supposedly saw me, they froze.
"Oh, I know who you are," the male voice said, with odd interest in his voice.
I looked at the figure in the dark, slowly being able to make more details out. I could barely tell who it was, the voice even seemed unfamiliar.
"Who am I then?"
In the darkness, I could see him smile and he walked closer, until he was knelt down beside me. I didn't know what was going on but I didn't really like it.
"Do you know who I am?" He asked softly.
I shook my head. Even though he was so close I still couldn't make out much facial features. But, the voice did seem familiar now, the more I listened to it.
Now, the figure who used to be smiling was now frowning. "Well then, we'll have to change that." He said, before standing up and taking my hand. He yanked me up out of my seat then immediately pinned me against the wall.
Now, I was freaked out. I had no idea what was going on or what was going to happen. I'm pretty sure I was so scared that he could tell even in the dark. His face was now so close to mine and I began to finally make out his facial features.
"Oh I know.." I muttered under my breath. To my dismay, he heard, and smiled once more.
"Good, good. Now that we know each other, why don't we get to know each other more?" He asked softly in the silent room, pushing me more against the wall A shiver went down my spine as he leaned closer and closer.
"I... Uh..." I tried to find the right words to say, but nothing came out. Instead of trying to speak him away, I now tried to escape, but when I did, he wrapped his arm around me, pulling me to him.
"Don't say you want to escape," he said softly. "I know you want to stay." I started to get even more panicky and tried to break free from his grasp again but I couldn't and my heart began to beat faster. What would he do? Surely I wouldn't be safe.
Suddenly, the door opened and I could easily tell who the figure was. My heart skipped a beat. It was the person my life practically depended on. It was Dustin.
"What's going on?" He asked, very confused. "This.. Looks odd."
While the man's grip loosened I took the chance to escape and ran out of the room, my heart beating faster than the tempo of a metal song. I glanced behind my shoulder to see Dustin looking at me weirdly, but yet angrily and he stomped into the triangle room. Not wanting to be near either of them and afraid of what might happen, I told the teacher I couldn't do the lessons, I had to go home immediately. She just nodded slowly and allowed me to leave.
But at least something happened.
