**Vanessa's Point**

"So were are we going next?" I asked.

"We gotta go find Merle before we can go anywhere." Daryl said.

"Why can't we just go look for others while were on our way to Merle?" Jess asked.

"No, we can't just leave him behind. That's not what Dixon's do. No one gets left behind. Living in this kind of world is survival of the fittest. It's do or die. Now you can choose. You can kill and you die or you die and you kill." I said to Jess.

"Alright. But Merle is just...Merle." Jess said.

"Ya I know but he's still family." I said.

We've been driving all night when we finally reached a police station. Everyone got out of the car.

"Alright me and Vanessa will go check it out, we'll need you 2 to stay here just incase anything happens." Daryl said.

"Alright. You 2 be carful now. Stay quiet." Jess told us. Me and Daryl grabbed our weapons and slowly made our way into the police station. We walked into the lobby and saw no walkers.

"Hmm looks like someone was already here." Daryl said. We kept walking until we stopped in a hallway and heard someone talking. We quietly snuck down the hall and into the room were the voice came from.

"Whoa, whoa, hold your fire." A sheriff said. "The names James Blake." He said holding his hand out for us to shake.

"Daryl Dixon and this is my lil sister Vanessa." He said shaking James's hand. I shook his hand as well.

"Is it just you here?" I asked walking around the room.

"No. I have a whole team. Well I did, one of my guys, mike, is stuck at the hotel down the street, I need to see if he's alright, if you can go check on him I'll lend ya a car." James offered. Daryl and I nodded our heads.

"Here." James said as he handed Daryl a walker talkie. "Contact me incase anything happens." He said as me and Daryl left the room. We slowly made our way down the hall and out of the police station. He walked down the street when we came upon a hotel. There was at least 30 walkers roaming the area.

"Hmm, looks like we'll have to kill them one by one." Daryl said. We snuck up on the walkers and killed them one by one. After we cleared the hotel area, we went into the room that mike was in. We walked in and found his body on the floor.

"Anything?" James asked through the walker talkie.

"Naw, he didn't make it. I'm sorry." Daryl replied.

"He was a good man, all if my men were good men." James said disappointed. "Well you 2 better head back before something happens." He said. Me and Daryl headed back down the road when about 30 walkers started following us.

"Run!" Daryl shouted as we sprinted back to the police station.

"No we can't lead them in there, they'll run over the place, we gotta kill them one by one." I said as me and Daryl jumped onto a car. The walkers surrounded the car and tried to reach for us. I pulled out my knife and stabbed the walkers that were the closest to us. Daryl got his knife out to and stabbed as many walkers as he could. After we killed the herd, we ran back inside the police station and back to James. He gave us the keys to one of the cars.

"Good luck." He said as he looked down at his desk.

"Your not coming with?" I asked.

"No, you go on ahead. Hurry before a herd comes." He said. With that, me and Daryl walked out of the police station. When we came outside, we saw Jess with his back facing us.

"Jess we got the keys, let's go." Daryl paused. "Jess?" Jess turned around but it wasn't jess, it was a walker. He grabbed at Daryl and I pulled out my knife and stabbed him in the head.

"He turned." I said looking at his solid body laying on the ground.

"Was he even bit?" Daryl asked me.

"I don't know." I said with tears in my eyes. Daryl came over to me and hugged me.

"C'mon, we gotta go." Daryl said as we got into the car with warren and drove off.
