"So if you could pick one color that represents you completely what color would it be?" Taking a bite of my burger I began to think.

So it's been three weeks since that party that Izzy made me go to. After Z and I had our re-introductions or whatever we just kind of talked. Well, we talking for three hours. About anything and everything. He didn't ask about things that he could see made me uncomfortable so we basically just stuck to talking about music, school, future stuff, etc. Normal topics I suppose.

I learned that his favorite type of music is EDM though he does love all types of music except hardcore rap. He moved here from New Jersey when he was six, but he's lived here since. His favorite subject in school is gym... go figure. We've had debates over the weeks, mostly because he agitates me to no end so I like to do it back. We debated over what's happening with Seaworld and the treatment of the animals, over political situations, over the president, hell over which is better mash potatoes or French fries. I say French fries.

We've gotten closer. He always sat at the lunch table with us and usually right next to me. He sometimes would walk me to my car after school and even wait for me by my locker. I asked Cory, Cole, and Toby about it and they said he never acted this way before me. I mean were just friends so I don't understand why he would treat me different then his other friends?

I'm not going to lie though, it felt good. it felt good that I seemed to matter to someone other then my family. I know i mattered to my other friends, but this felt different. A good, terrifying different. But even if it did feel good, I needed to remind myself that life isn't a fairytale and I am definitely not a princess.

Since the party him and his friends have been siting with us at lunch. The first two days we didn't really talk to each other because we were just getting used to the situation... and so was everyone else. We were the talk of the town for a while. Now it's calmed down a bit but some people still glance over and gossip.

"I already told you my favorite color Z" I said with a laugh.

"Blue. I know I remember. But I mean like if you could pick a color that describes you what would it be?" Scooting a little closer to me he perched his head on his hand and stared at me.

"Oh um I'd say red." I put down my burger and took a sit of my Diet Coke.

"You know you always do that" he said still looking at me but this time smiling.

  "Do what?" I asked.

"You take a bite of your food and then you always take a sip of a drink after. It's like a ritual with you." Taking MY burger from my tray he decided he was going to eat it.

"Hey! It may be a ritual, but so is kicking your ass when you annoy me" snatching the burger from his grubby hands I slammed it down on my tray and glared at him.

Since the talk at the party him and his friends have been so.... nonconfrontational? I guess that's the best way of putting it. They have just kind of mellowed out. Not that they were super confrontational before, but it was like we all just started to enjoy being friends.  I think that's because of Z. I have a feeling he made a point to do that for me.

"Calm down buttercup were FRIENDS remember?" He make an emphasis on the word friends and put up his hands up as if surrendering.
