"Mia hurry up and get in the car!" Mia hops in my car and we head to school.

The school we were going to was new. What was weird about the school was that it only allowed sophomores at the school, no other grade. It was a bit sketchy, but I've never been to the school so I couldn't judge before anything happened.  We pull up to the parking lot and get out of the car. For such an unknown school the campus was huge.

"Ava, are you sure about this?" Mia said worriedly.

"Of course I'm sure."

At the front of the school there was an officer " good morning ladies." We smiled and walked in to the office. "Welcome girls. Your classroom number is 219." The automated secretary said.  Mia gives me a look and we head to our classroom. I look over at Mia and she looks likes she's about to throw up. "Are you ok Mia?" She looks at me and says "I need to throw up!" I look back at her with a concerned look and run with her to the nearest bathroom. We find the bathroom and Mia runs into one of the stalls and starts wretching. "Are you ok?" I ask with concern. She yells "I'm fine" I go over to the mirror and splash cold water onto my face, when I lift up my head I look in the corner of the mirror, it seemed a bit strange, like if there was glass behind the mirror as if someone was watching us, like they have in those stereotypical cop movies when they interrogate criminals. Mia walks out of the stall and cleans her face and hands off.

"Something about this school is really sketchy Ava." For some reason Mia can't get over the fact that it was a new school and somethings were going to be a bit sketchy around the first year. It always is, well atleast at the schools we've been to. We both walk to our classroom. As we walk I get a shiver down my back. The bell rings and Mia starts sprinting. I never in my whole life time seen Mia sprint. Now I start wondering why she started sprinting. I lost her. Damn! I glance behind me and I see at least 12 guards dressed head to toe in black armor. Shit! They start picking up there pace and then next thing you know I'm also sprinting. They start shouting. "GO TO CLASS...NOW!"

I finally made it to class and I see Mia sitting down sobbing. I walk over to her and confort her. I look around the class and all of our classmates from grade school were here to. I see Liam  and Noah my longtime "friends". Liams face was red. He looks over at me in realization as if he was looking for me. He walks over to me and starts tearing up. As he tries to talk to me his voice breaks. " Ava, what the hell is going on?!" My voice starts to break as well but it's not as bad as he was, my voice was shaky in fear but I still was certain that this school would be good. "I'm not sure Liam. I just received a letter in the mail that said I was excepted in to a high ranked school. Mia got the same letter, and I'm guessing you and everyone else here got it as well." At this point Liam  was balling in tears. It's a strict school I thought nothing "sketchy".

The teacher walks in and tries to quite down. "Welcome to ridgeway high guys and girls, I am  Ms. Grinser. I see some of you have seen some friendly faces around the classroom. Get settled guys. We have a lot to work on." Quin raises her hand and starts speaking. "It's barely the first day. Why do we have to do classwork." What she said was shocking, although she's usually the school slut, she still manages to get good grades. I did very well expect that from her, she always wanted to be ahead of every one. Ms.Grinser looks over at her with a heated expression. "YOU DO NOT SPEAK UNLESS YOU ARE TOLD TO......!" she pauses. "Miss Quin Alfie!" Quin shuts up and takes her book out. We all follow along with Quin and take our books out. As I'm reading the book I see someone's feet in front of my desk, I look up, and Noah is in front of me begging me to take him home, since I was the only one who knew how to drive. I tell him to calm down and go back to his seat. He gives me a worried look as if he were a lost puppy. I felt bad for saying no.

It's funny how everyone from my eighth grade classes were invited to the same school as me. It seems a  bit sketchy now that I think about it. I whisper to Mia that I thought she was right about this school being a bit sketchy.

Mia gets up and walks over to the teacher. "How may I help you Mia?" "I was wondering if I may got to the bathroom?" "Of course. You have five minutes." What would happen if she passed five minutes? I didn't want to get too paranoid, so I calmed myself down. Four minutes had passed, I was getting worried that she wouldn't make it on time. There was a forceful knock at the door. Ms. Grinser opens the door and the guards that had chased us to class were escorting Mia to class, this school was more strict than I had thought. Mia sits down, she tries to speak but her voice was shaky as if she had seen a ghost or something.

 "Mia. What happened?"

"I-I-I don't know.."

"What were you doing down there?"

"I w-w-went to the bathroom at first, but then I got bored so I went to what looked like the auditorium and..."

"And...? What? What happened? Mia? What happened?!

"I-I don't know?"

"Girls! Why are you guys talking?"

"Sorry Ms. Grinser, I was jut helping Mia with her work."

"Ok just keep it down."

Mia couldn't even talk after what she told me. I wondered if they kept her quite or something. I still think this school has some potential but at the same time I feel like this school has something sketchy stuff behind all the prep school bullshit.
