Bus ride
Today I rode the bus
Simply because I needed to get home
I enter
I sit
And I listen to the calming music to drown out the conversations they have
I stare
Out the window
At the passing by teens
There
I see you
The air thickens, I can't breathe, my hands calm up, my feet numb out
I fiddle with the headphone cord
You enter
You pass me
You sit
Time passes
No change
Your stop
You leave
I breathe.
