** This is Jessi **

Ali laid on her bed one week after moving in to her apartment thinking to herself that this could actually be good for her, that she would be okay, that her life was going to be great.

"Yo! Ali get out of bed! You promised we would go shopping today! We also need to get some food the fridge is practically empty." Jessi yelled from the other side of the door.

"Okay, I'm up! Just give me time to get dressed, I'll be out in 10 minutes." She said as she got out of bed. What to wear what to wear she thought to herself. She looked through her draws and indeed she really needed to go shopping, she had practically nothing to wear. So she settled for some plain black lulu lemon leggings, a light grey shirt, that looked like a sweater and her favorite pair of coral Nikes. She then went to the bathroom to finish getting ready, fixing her hair and putting on a light layer of makeup.

"Alright I'm ready let's get going." Jessi was on her laptop waiting for her in the living room.

"We should stop by Tim Hortons on the way to get something to eat." She said as she grabbed her purse and headed to the door. "You want me to drive? I'm assuming you don't know how to get to the mall, right?"

"Yeah, I think that's for the best. I'm actually supper down to try Tim Hortons for the first time! I heard they have the best coffee."

"That is definitely true. Alright let's get this show on the road. FRANK! You sure you don't want to come with us? It'll be fun, you'll get to watch us shop while holding our bags!"

"I think I'll pass thanks!" Frank chuckled he knew Jess wasn't kidding about him holding the bags, she had done that to him when they first became friends, and ever since that day he had promised himself to never go shopping with those girls ever again.

The girls left the apartment and quickly made their way to the nearest Tim Hortons because they were starving, Jess really meant it when she said that they had almost no more food left, they had barely eaten the night before because of it. They both ordered coffees, Jess had a cream cheese bagel and Ali had a muffin.

"God everyone was right! Their shit is amazing!" exclaimed Ali, while Jessi laughed at her friend. "Okay now we should really get to the mall, we have so much to do today and I want to make sure we have time to do it all." So Jessi turned the car back on, since they had pulled over to eat their food, and drove to her favourite mall, the one her mother use to bring her to when she was young.

Jessi had a good life growing up, before her mother died. She was always happy, had a lot of friends, and was rarely ever sad. When her mother died she counted of her father and her friends to support her through it all, but was quickly let down, her world came crashing down. When she moved to live with her cousins she promised herself that she would never talk about her life, that she would do everything to forget her past but now that she was back home she was afraid that her secret would be shared to the people she cared the most for, which were Frank and Ali. She prayed that they would never find out. She was very much afraid that if they ever did find out that they wound cut her out like her father and old friends did.

Once they arrived at the mall they went straight to her favourite store, which was H&M.

"Good god this place is huge!" Exclaimed Ali, she had never seen a mall so big. She was never a huge fan of shopping, she only went when she need stuff, never went for the fun of shopping. "How do you not get lost in a place like this?" Jessi smirked at her friend.

The girls walked around for what felt like hours when they decided to take a break and go to the food court and get something to eat. They chose to eat at a place called Thai Express, which used to be Jessi's favourite. They sat down and ate and talked about all the close they had gotten and how excited they were to get to wear them.

"We should go clubbing tonight, it'll be fun! We should do it before school starts and we're too busy with school work to go out." Jessi said after a while.

"Yeah okay that sounds like fun, I'm down the hard part is going to get Frank to agree, you know how he feels about clubbing."

"Leave that to me. I'll convince him, you know how I could be." Suddenly Jessi stiffened. "We should go now and go do the groceries if we want to have time to get ready." She said abruptly and so they got up, grabbed all their bags and left the mall.

Around 5 o'clock they got back to their apartment. Frank had come down to help them with all the bags and as they were going up the elevator the girls told them what they had planned for the night and Frank reluctantly agreed to go out with them.
