Elaine waited impatiently for Stefan to text her back, her mind wondering on how close her and the green eyed boy have gotten. It started off with simple hi and bye texts, and now they're having conversations full of flirting and teasing. A smile crept onto her face unknowingly while she thought about the youngest Salvatore. Only a week in Mystic Falls and she's already developed a little crush on a 17 year old boy, great.

Her thoughts are interrupted once she hears Elena open the front door and an unfamiliar voice begin to speak. She hears bits and pieces of the conversation, catching words like pillows, big package and needing a signature.

"Elaine, come down real quick and help me with this package! I can't carry it alone.  " Elena yells from downstairs causing Elaine to groan loudly. Have you ever been in such a comfortable position that you don't want to move because you know that you won't ever feel that comfortable again? No, must just be her then.

Walking downstairs was easier said the done because for some apparent reason all the lights were off. After about 10 minutes of her hand blinding searching the wall for the light switch, she finally feels something touching her hand. She furiously blinks once the light goes on, giving her eyes some time to adjust to the new brightness. Once she's all okay , she looks up to see a banner hung up.

"Welcome Home." She reads lowly, tilting her head to the side clearly confused on when that got there. Is that the package Elena needed help with? A clap is heard from behind her causing her to jump and instantly whirl around. Not even 5 seconds later, she's covered head to toe in confetti and all colors of silly string. She opens her eyes to see at least 30 people with party hats on and (now) empty containers in their hands.

"Welcome Home Elaine." The biggest smile ever known to man was placed on Elaine's face as everyone yelled simultaneously.

"I know we're about a week late but greatness can't be rushed babe, and what we did right now? Was something goddamn amazing." Said the handsome blue eyed devil whom she got to know as Damon Salvatore. Damon pulled Elaine over to a table filled with ridiculous amounts of alcohol and began to pour her a shot without hesitation.

20 minutes in and the party was full on. Everyone dancing and drinking till they dropped. People all around were reminiscing on old memories and some creating events so new memories can take place. Although she was surrounded by old and new friends, she still felt as if something was missing. She looked around the room but nothing really jumped out at her. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Elaine went outside to take a breather. As she sat on her porch steps she looked at the sky and took a deep breathe. It hit her what, or whom she was looking for specifically. A certain tall, blonde-haired, green eyed guy to be specific.
