ISAK VALTERSEN
FRIDAY, 15. September, 18:04.

"That's Mahdi."

I took one last drag before dropping the blunt on the black tiles that covered Jonas' bathroom floor. I stepped on it before picking it up and flushing it down the toilet. Assuming I looked like shit, I went to splash my face with cold water and my assumptions came true when I saw myself in the mirror. Red puffy eyes and matted eyes.

"You look fucked out already, you better act normal", the dark haired boy laughed before playfully slapping my cheek. I pulled a grin and nodded, hoping I'd be able to imitate normal behaviour.

"Open that fucking door, Vasquez!"
It came from outside Jonas' flat.

"Coming!"

Followed him to the door, I almost tripped when he stopped.
"Hey, bro", I said and smiled at the other boy that looked at me with scrunched up eyebrows, but soon had a wide grin on his lips. "Did you start without me?", Mahdi asked, acting all offended, but Jonas shook his head no and justified: "Nei, he was like that when he got here."

I don't know why he always made it look like I got high on my own. My best friend seemed completely normal when he was stoned, leaving me looking like I was tripping on something much harder.

"Did you bring beer?"

My other friend rolled his eyes and nodded.
"I had to sneak them out the fridge. For fucks sake, I hope my dad doesn't notice."

I grabbed one. "It's just a beer, chill."

Jonas nodded: "He's right, relax, dude. He's not gonna kill you if he notices. Anyways... where is Magnus?"

"Oh", Mahdi slipped out his phone to check his messages, "He texted me he won't be able to come. Some family gathering shit."

"So... it's just us then?", I asked, taking a sip from the beverage.

"Seems like it", my best friend raised his bottle, "Cheers then, let's hope the party'll be good."

FRIDAY, 15. September, 11:43pm.

I had no idea what time it was or how much I had drank. But I for sure knew that I was surrounded by dancing bodies and had a random girl grind up against me. Judging by her face, I was pretty sure she was a first-year, but neither did I know her name nor anything else about her. Dancing had never been my thing anyways, but why worry about my dancing skills if I could blame it on being drunk and a little high later?

Just when she initiated some touching, I was pulled back by my shoulder which had stumbling backwards. "Bro, wha-", I started but paused, when I saw the person's face, "Jonas."

"Good thing you still remember who I am", he smirked, "You down for a smoke?"

My jaw clenched and I turned back to look at the girl I had previously 'danced' with. She was already up against some other guy, so I didn't really bother leaving her behind and following my best friend outside. Blunts had privilege.

SATURDAY, 16. September, 01:38.

"Hey Isak, you want another hit?"

Feeling floaty already, a wide grin appeared on my lips while I got handed the joint. It felt warm between my fingers and I took a moment to admire the ember on its edge burning the herbs, before I lead it to my lips and inhaled deeply. A pleasantly familiar feeling filled my insides and I closed my eyes while I exhaled slowly. Jonas and I had smoked earlier tonight, even before Mahdi had joined. It wasn't much, yet it seemed like those few hits contributed to my marijuana tolerance quite a lot.

"Bro, your eyes are red as hell already!", another guy laughed, who I had no idea of who he was. Looking to my left, I met Jonas eyes and made him smirk, because obviously he knew why those few joints were kicking in like crazy.

I made an attempt to speak, but I failed and all that left my mouth was a breathy laughter, making all the other boys around me lose it too. We were having a great time and I enjoyed the warm feeling all over me. But when I suddenly felt cold air hit my face I turned, lifting my head to see where it had come from. A girl with a somehow familiar face had opened the door and was now intensely looking at me, which gave me tingles in my stomach.

"Isak", the voice called out, so I did my best to get up from the floor and stumbled towards her. I tripped and earned loud laughter, but I had no time to react as the girl took me by the hand and dragged me out the room. "Not that fast", I managed to croak out while I tried to follow her to wherever she was leading me. The next thing I noticed was a door shutting behind us, isolating us in a small room.
