I'm back, with good news! Marcel got 27 reads! That makes me really happy, not kidding. This Author's Note might be a bit long, so you might want to skip it, if you want to get straight to the story. I have decided that every time my book gets 25 reads, I shall celebrate. I would also like to give a quick S/O to my friend @onedzaynsgurl

Because she's a great friend and a very talented writer. So go and give her a follow, and maybe check out one of her stories. I really need a good cover for my book, I have no idea what to do about that. I'll experiment with it later :)Anyway, back to the story...

Marcel's POV

I'm in trouble. In deep trouble. There's no way I can escape Zayn and Louis. You might be wondering who Louis is. He's actually quite a smart guy, but his attitude is not so nice. I dare say he's worse than Zayn. He can really throw in a couple of good punches, quite painful might I add. I sighed, running a hand through my gelled back hair, feeling sorry for myself.

My sister's right, I really have to stand up for my self. But how? She's told me to dress a little more casually, maybe get a new pair of glasses, pull my trousers a little lower down my waist (Ridiculous!)and stop being so... Nerdy. I don't want to be bullied, heck, I want the exact opposite.

That's a hard thing to do. I can't be one of those people that don't study or do their homework. Why would you not study? I love it, I love the feeling of learning something new.

I also love the feeling of getting good marks, I sure do.

The bell rang, interrupting my train of thoughts. It was my lunch period, one that I will spend in the library, as per usual.

Before going to the library, I made quick stop at my locker to sort my books out.

Thank Jesus I didn't meet Zayn on the way.

I grabbed my sandwich and apple and made my way to the library.

Inside I saw the librarian sorting out the books.

"Hi, Genevieve!" I greeted the librarian with a cheery grin.

"Hello there, Marcel," she greeted me, "it's nice to see you again!"

Genevieve was in her early 20ies, and she was like a best friend to me.

I chuckled and looked around the only person in the library apart from me and Genevieve was... Beth.

Who is Beth?

Beth is in my Maths class, she's a very nice girl, I really like her.

I wouldn't say I have a 'crush' on her, though.

She turned around and her gaze met mine.

Although I do get kinda nervous when she looks at me or talks to me. And when she talks to me I have no idea what to say.

"Hi Marcel! Nice cardigan!" She complimented.

I started fidgeting, and I could see Genevieve smirking from the corner of my eye, but she disappeared into the maze of bookshelves.

"I... Uh, I... Um... Happy birthday." I blurted out, mentally face palming myself. Her birthday is in six months, you dimwit.

She raised her eyebrows, but her smile didn't fade. "You're really cute. Anyway I have to go, see you next period, Maths!"

She called me cute. 1 point for Marcel!

"So, someone's got a girlfriend, I see." I heard Genevieve say.

"She's not my girlfriend." I replied.

"But you like her. More than a friend..."

"No... I mean yeah, I like her, but only as a friend really."

"That's why you get nervous when she talks to you."

"Well, I don't really, I mean..." I trailed off.

Genevieve emerged from behind a bookshelf, and wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"Someone's in love!"

"I am not!"And with that I sat down.

"Why don't you... you know, ask her out?"

"Because she has a boyfriend." I replied with a sad look on my face.

"Really? Who?"

"Zayn Malik."
