Nightmare

Jumin POV

It was around 12 pm MC was asleep and Nari had gone to bed around 4 hours ago. I was still up finishing some paperwork, I felt bad leaving MC to go to sleep alone but if I did not get all of this stuff done I knew I would need to stay at work longer. I rub my eyes, to be honest, I was very tired but I couldn't lose focus. I stand up and stretch my arms and back I was hunched all day so my back was hurting. I walk past Naris room to get some water when I hear some sounds coming from her room, I stop and open her door a little bit.

Nari: "NO!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!! HELP!!!" I entered her room quickly to check on her. she was sweating and rolling around in her bed.

"Nari." I gently grab her shoulder and she springs awake with tears in her eyes. "Nari are you alright?" She looks at me and gives me a hug.

Nari: "Oh dad!" She was squeezing me really tight. she was 13 years old so I was surprised at how strong she was.

"Nari, what happened?" She dug her face into my chest "Nari?"

Nari: "I am not still dreaming right? You are actually here protecting me." I kneel down causing Nari to let go of me. I wipe her face and look at her she was shaking. "I-I had a nightmare" I brush her hair out of her face.

"Do you want to tell me what happened?" she got started when I said that and stiffened up, "Nari it's okay i'm here" I sit on her bed and she leans on me and grabs my arm.

Nari: "I was home but I was all alone. there was no sound no rain no anything. Elizabeth was not even there!" I look over at Nari she was crying again and she was holding my arm tightly. "Suddenly the walls begin to close in on me. it gets smaller and smaller and I scream for help but I can't a-a-and I can't see you or mom or anyone. I k-keep screaming but it won't stop! I-I was so scared. but then you woke me up" She looks down and starts crying again. I pull her towards me and hug her.

"I'm sorry Nari." I keep her held in my arms for about 10 min until she calms down she is still shaking a bit but when she is calmer she pulls away from me.

Nari: "Could you stay with me? I don't want to have that dream again." I stand up and lift her covers.

"Of course I will stay with you" She climbs back under her covers and I lye down next to her. I smile when Nari shuffles over to me. I roll over and hug her so that she can go back to sleep. "Go to sleep now you have school tomorrow and I don't want you to be tired" I can see Nari's smile even if she is on her side. A few min pass and Nari has fallen back asleep I think about leaving but she is so happy that I don't want to leave her. I look down and see that she is making scared faces. I whisper quietly so that I don't wake her up "Shhh Nari its okay" I hold her hand "I'm here" Her face shifts to being scared to being normal I smile and close my eyes.

MC POV

It is the morning and I go to wake up Nari for school. Jumin did not come to bed last night so I figured that he fell asleep on the couch doing work I walk out into the living room to find his papers but no Jumin. I look around the room.

"Jumin are you here?" No response. I shrug and head to Nari's room. I open the door and find Jumin asleep with Nari on her bed. I smile and walk over to Jumin he was still in his work clothes. I poke his cheek and he wakes up.

Jumin: "Huh?" Jumin looks around the room and gets red in the face a little "Oh yes this I uh..." I put my fingers to his mouth and point and Nari who is smiling in her sleep. Jumin looks over and brushes her hair with his hand. Nari sits up and rubs her eyes.

Nari: "Aww is it time to wake up already I was having an awesome dream!" I look at Jumin who looks back at me and stands up attempting to fix his outfit.

"Good morning Nari. You need to get ready for school" Nari makes a fart noise and flops back on her bed. "Come on young lady" She rolls out of bed stands up and looks at jumin who is still trying to fix his outfit.

Nari: "Thanks for staying with me dad! I love you!" Jumin gets flustered and looks down at Nari who is smiling.

Jumin: "I love you too" Nari kisses her fingers and reaches for Jumins face. Jumin kneels down and lets her boop his cheek. He smiles and walks out of the room to let Nari get dressed.

"So dad stayed with you last night?" Nari nods

Nari: "I had a nightmare but he protected me this time!" I smile at Nari

"He really does love you Nari and so do I"

Nari: "I know!" I walk out of the room to let Nari get dressed to find Jumin sitting on the couch flustered. I sit beside him.

"That was very nice of you to stay with Nari all night" Jumin looks over at me and sighs

Jumin: "I couldn't leave her she was scared" Jumin tries to fix his tie but gives up and leans on his knees "I-I don't know why I got so flustered in her room"

"Its because you care for her so much Jumin." Jumin looks at me and smiles

Jumin: "Well I can't argue with that" I turn myself around and fix his tie. Jumin laughs and puts a hand on his face. "I can't even fix my tie"

"That's alright you aren't perfect" Nari walks out of her room and walks towards us.

Nari: "Alright i'm ready!" Jumin looks over and smiles

Jumin: "want me to take you to school?"

Nari: "YA!" Jumin stands up and Nari holds his hand.

Jumin: "Alright off we go then. MC I should be home soon alright" I wave goodbye to Jumin and Nari as I see them walk out the door.

Jumin POV

We walk out the door and Nari is skipping she was in a good mood and I was happy about that. I walk her to school and give her, her bag.

"Alright I will see you later okay"

Nari: "okay dad" She walks into the school and waves goodbye at me I wave back.

"Bye" I see her walk in and I sigh. I really do love her with all of my heart.
