The Usual Days
Here I am, at school, staring through the windows of my class, with my chin resting upon my hand.
Someone please save me already!
In case you havent noticed, I'm currently trapped with the horrors of school, in this building, behind these glass windows. I'm dying, as my teacher Mr. Jones, talks about mysterious science facts that were aching my brain. Someone needs to save me-fast, because dying young in a prison, was not my ideal way of ending life. Too much information was being stuffed into my brain, within every single second you waste. Oh, the pressure!
Okay, I was just being dramatic there. Yeah, I'm in class also known as prison. I have to say, I could qualify in drama class auditions or something. My acting skills arent that bad.
The bell rang and it almost felt like forever. Finally, I could go home and become a wifi princess in my room.
"Did you even get any of that?" I asked Jason and Emily, my besties, as we walked to the school gate. We had been besties since kindergarten.
"None of it" sighed Jason.
"You two are such kids, all of it was easy" said Emily.
"Hey, we failed science remember?" I reminded Emily.
"Excuse me, I got an A for science remember?" she said, flipping her hair "On the other hand, you and Jay-jay failed"
"Ouch?" I commented.
"Yeah whatever smartypants. And stop calling me Jay-jay will you?" pouted Jason "I hate the nickname"
"Thats the point" smirked Emily.
"Well whatever, we only have two days of school left and we'll be free" I said.
"Oh my gosh, I've planned so much for us! Beach parties, picnics and so much more" squealed Emily exictedly.
"There'll be more cute girls out and about" Jason said dreamily at the thought.
"Jason!" Emily and I chorused.
We sat down on the grass at the school gate together. Suddenly, we heard a honk from a dark grey car. It was my mum. Today Jason and Emily were coming over to study with me. Mum thinks that I might focus better with them.
"Hey Emily, hey Jason" beamed mum, as she opened the window.
I opened the door and hopped in at the front seat, next to mum while Emily and Jason sat at the back. The car was cool with the air smelt like lime , coming from the A.C.
"Hey Mrs Willowford" greeted Jason and Emily.
"How was school today? Did Lauren focus well?" chuckled mum.
"Mum! Of course I focused" I said. Mum has this addiction called 'embarrasing her own daughter'.
"Well not really, she was dreaming of her prince charming" Jason played along.
"Oh really?" laughed mum.
"Yeah, and she kept looking at the cute guys at school" laughed Emily.
"Interesting, is this all true Lauren?" asked mum, smirking playfully.
I facepalmed "Guys, can you not"
They all stared at me and started bursting with laughter. I couldnt help but laugh too.

As soon as mum unlocked the door to our house, Jason and Emily raced up to my room, like they had been doing for the past years. Nothing ever changes, no matter their age. Even though we were already seventeen, Emily and Jason had always been the same.
I sighed, as I walked up to my room lazily. Emily was lying down on my bed, while texting Jason who was sitting on my orange beanbag, shirtless, showing his abs and six pack.
I shook my head and let them relax for a while, as I headed to the mirror to take off my hairclips. I realized that I havent changed too. I still had the same bright striking red hair that I had since birth. It was the same red hair my mum had. I still had the same hazel brown eyes and pale skin, unlike Emily.
Emily had shoulder length chocolate brown hair, that matched her chocolate brown eyes. She had always been bubbly and cheerful.
Jason on the other hand has disney prince hair, the coulour of dead leaves. He was tall and lets say he was kinda goodlooking despite his laziness and his playful ways.
"Jason, go and take a shower downstairs" I said, tossing him a white towel "You stink. Literally stink"
"Oh c'mon, its only...I dont even know what time it is, but we just got here" he complained.
"Hey, if my mum finds out we're not studying and dressed, she'll kill us all" I warned him "Now go"
"Fine" he groaned, hanging the towel on his shoulder, as he headed downstairs.
The door closed, and Emily made eye contact with me.
"I'm going in first" I smirked, referring to the toilet
Let me get something straight; Emily and I are really sensitive when it comes to hygene. We love showers and we fight over who's going in first all the time.
"No, I am!" she laughed evily.
"Dude, you went first last time you came here" I reasoned.
"Guests first" she pouted, taking her towel slowly.
"Whatever!" I laughed, going into the toilet and quickly locking it.
"Hey! This isnt fair! I hate you so much, Lauren" she shouted, banging on the door. I couldnt help but laugh as I let the cold water run onto my body and refreshen me. It felt good after a long hot summer day.
I smirked at Emily as I came out of the toilet, with one towel around my body and one wrapped around my hair.
"You stink" I joked, sticking my tongue out as I opened my drawer to pick my clothes.
"Ugh, whatever"
I decided to wear my sunflower crop top and my yoga pants. It was convenient since it was such a hot day.
After Emily got dressed, we called Jason up and we decided to study.
Maths, history, science, yeah all that
Well actually we hardly studied. Basically we took out all out books and started taking notes for about a minute or so, and then we started joking and playing around.
Aint nobody got time for studying anyway
There was a knock on the door. Probably mum.
"Places!" I whispered hurridly. And by places, I mean the places where we sat amd supposedly pretend to study.
I got up and opened the door, to see mum with her arms crossed.
"Are you all studying?" she said raising an eyebrow.
"Yes!" I said trying to sound confident "Right guys?"
I turned to them, Emily and Jake both had smiles on their faces with their thumbs up.
I facepalmed. It look so fake.
"Okay ..." said my mum "Well if youre hungry, I made spaghetti"
We all grinned and gave each other knowing faces "Lets EAT!" and rushed downstairs together, making mum chuckle and shake her head in disbelief.
