Prologue

"Mommy! Daddy!" Dali-dali akong tumakbo sa kanila. They both smiled at me as I approached to give them a hug. I jumped at sinalo naman ako ni dad while giving him, them the warmest hug ever. I missed my parents. It's been a week since I last saw them. My parents were very busy with their jobs. My mom works as a lawyer while my dad is the CEO of one of the biggest companies in the fashion and clothing industry.

At the age of 8, I understood that both my parents has responsibilities and that they're doing these to provide me a better future given na nag-iisang anak lang ako. I'm okay with it to be honest, besides kasama ko naman palagi si Yaya Naty which served as my second mom.

"We missed you baby boy." Said dad habang ibinababa ako. I looked at mom and  I saw her smiling fondly at me.

"I missed you too mom, dad! As promised, I did good in school. Yaya Naty helped me with my assignments! But don't worry, ako naman nag sagot sa lahat ng questions. I just asked her if there are terms or words that I can't understand." Mahabang explanasyon ko sa kanila.

"That's very good baby boy! And because of that we bought something for you!" Mom said excitedly. Na excite din naman ako. Tumalon-talon pa ako.

"OMG! Is it the toy that I've asked you to buy for me? Or new reading materials? Or was it the latest Pokémon game?! Mom, dad? Where is it na?" Tanong ko sa kanila.

"Of course we bought all of those for you. But! We have another surprise for you!" Mom said happily while caressing my cheeks.

"What is it mom?" Excited kong tanong. She looked at my dad.

"Honey, papuntahin mo na s'ya dito." Sabi nito. Dad exited the door. Humarap si mom sa akin. "You'll surely gonna love our surprise for you, anak." Napangiti naman ako.

Maya-maya pa ay dumating si dad. Hawak-hawak nito ang kamay ng isang batang lalaki. Napatitig ako sa bata. Based on his looks, he's older and taller than me. I looked at my mom and she's just smiling the whole time. Hindi ko namalayan na nakalapit na pala si dad sa amin. I took a look at the guy. Nakayuko lang ito. He's wearing a polo na 2 sizes bigger yata sa kanya. He's wearing shorts at naka sapatos. The boy looked at me and I was shocked. A blush suddenly crept on my face.

"Anak?" Napatigil ako sa pagtitig sa bata when I heard mom talk. I looked at her confusion all over my face. She just smiled.

"Baby boy, I want you to meet Ethan. From now on, he's gonna be your brother. Older brother." Mom announced happily. Para naman akong napako sa kinatatayuan ko. I cannot move. I looke at my mom then kay dad. They were both giving me encouraging looks while smiling. I looked at the guy in my front. A smile crept on his face.

No! This can't be happening! No! I cannot accept this! No! Ayoko! Ayoko!

Hindi ko namalayang tumulo na pala ang mga luha ko. Dali-dali naman akong niyakap ni mommy.

"Aren't you happy sa surprise namin, baby?" She asked habang pinapahid ang mga luhang tumutulo mula sa mga mata ko.

I looked at her then said: "I don't want him! I cannot accept this! Ayoko! No!"

Am I not enough, mom? Dad?" My 8 year-old self asked while tears were streaming down my face. Nasa sala na kami ng bahay. I was standing in front of them habang humahagulgol sa pag-iyak. They were sitting at the couch. Napapagitnaan naman nila si Ethan. Siguro he's 2-3 years older than me.

"Anak, di'ba this is what you want? Gusto mo ng kapatid di'ba? 'Eto na s'ya oh. He'll be your older brother from now on. Your kuya. He will protect you whenever we're not around. He'll take care of you. Please, AJ. Don't make this hard for us." Mom said while approaching me. Napaiyak na din ito. She hugged me and whispered comforting words in my ears.

"But no! I don't want him to be my brother. I can take care of myself. Please mom, dad! Ayoko! Ayoko!" I shouted. Kumawala ako sa yakap ni mom. I stomped my feet, kicked, humiga sa marmol na sahig habang umiiyak. I don't want him here!

"AJ! Stop being a brat! Whether you like it or not he will be your kuya from now on." Dad said firmly. Ngayon lang ako napagtaasan ng boses ni Dad. Usually he's very careful and gentle when talking to me. Mas lalo akong napaiyak. Dad approached me and then hugged me tightly.

"I'm sorry baby boy. Please. Wag ka na magalit okay? Ethan. He lost his parents on a car accident. He doesn't have any family left. Naawa kami so we adopted him. We remembered that you've always longed for a sibling. Heto na s'ya oh. Your dream came true. May kalaro ka na.

Please baby boy. Don't cry, okay? I'm sorry for yelling at you. Always remember that I love you. That will never change. Your mom and I love you so much, okay? Tahan na."

Dad hugged me tight. Napailing ako. This is so hard for me. I looked at my mom who's now crying while looking at us. Nadako ang tingin ko sa batang lalaki. Kay Ethan. Sa kuya ko. I looked at my dad at pagkatapos ay dali-dali akong umakyat papunta sa room ko. I can still hear my parents yelling at me telling me to come back pero hindi ko sila nilingon. Pumasok ako sa room ko at doon nagpatuloy sa pag-iyak hanggang ako'y napagod at nakatulog.

"Good morning, love."

I looked at my side and saw the most handsome guy I've ever set my eyes on. Wala sya'ng suot na pang-itaas showing his toned body and his six pack. I looked at his face and there I could see the love and admiration. I caressed his cheek with my right hand. Hinawakan nya naman ang kamay kong nasa mukha n'ya.

"Good morning, babe." I replied habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"What's wrong, love?" Nag-aalalang tanong n'ya sa'kin.

"N-Nothing. I-I'm just h-happy. Never in my wildest d-dreams that I-I'll fall in love with y-you. I cannot b-believe na nandito ka sa tabi ko ngayon." Sabi ko'ng nangiginig ang boses.

"I-I love you s-so much. I love so much that I'm willing to give up all just so I could be with you." Di ko napigilan ang pagdaloy ng aking mga luha.

"Shhh. That's fine. Don't cry baby. I love you so much too. I love you more than my life. And I'm willing to give up everything too just to be with you. Remember that, love. I love you." Sabi n'ya habang pinupunasan ang luha ko.

He pressed my lips into mine. The kiss was gentle at first. Until it became rougher. I can really feel his hunger. He's kissing me as if this would be the last kiss we'll ever share. Ginantihan ko naman ang halik n'ya. I kissed him with so much hunger and passion. Nang matapos kami ay pareho kaming humihingal at hinahabol ang pag hinga. He smiled at me. I did the same. Pero unti-unti ding nawala 'yon.

"How about dad and mom. I'm pretty sure by now, they already know na nasa malayo na tayo." Ang nag-aalalang sabi ko sa kanya.

"Shhhh. Don't worry. We'll figure this out. Okay? Don't worry, love. I'll think of a plan." He said reassuring me. Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag.

But despite that, I'm still worried. What if natunton na pala kami nila dad. What if, papunta na sila dito ngayon. We've been gone for more than a month now. What if pag nahuli nila kami, what if paghiwalayin nila kami. No! It can't happen. I love him. I can't afford to lose him.

I know this is wrong. I knew what we did was wrong and unacceptable. But I can't help it. We eloped. With the help of our friends, nakatakas kami. We didn't know what to do. This is the only way we knew. And if bumalik kami, I'm sure paghihiwalayin nila kami.

"We'll figure this out, AJ." He assured me. He hugged me tight and kissed my forehead.

"I trust you... Ethan."
