Sophie Levard had never imagined that she would be in the middle of a war.
Of course, the Great War had taken place around the time she was born but she had always been told: it would never happen again... It did, and she made the decision to go out and help. Doctors were needed desperately, so much so that her medical training was rushed through and she was sent straight to France, straight to the conflict.
She had been shot at and bombed so many times in a year, she had seen so many injured and too many dead. Now, she was trapped like all the others. Frightened and trapped at Dunkirk as the German forces advanced on all sides.

This book will begin slightly before the events in 'Dunkirk', and will mostly follow the movie timeline but may differ slightly. Updates are likely to be slow because I want it to be as accurate, both historically and to the movie, as possible but I have little knowledge of medicine or war so if I make a mistake please feel free to correct me.
