"Amy! Amelia!" The mentioned girl turned from where she was reading a book on the kitchen counter. It was Lucy, and she was holding a black and white puppy with the brightest blue eyes she had ever seen.

She looked up at Lucy and the girl was smiling one of her rare crooked smiles.
"His name is Isaac, he's 8 months and Gray was supposed to look after this furball" She shook the puppy when he barked at the mention of Gray's name.
Still, there was one thing that was triggered Amelia's uncertainty.
"Why are you telling me this?" She asked and covered her mouth. That was too rude. She expected Lucy to scrunch her nose then walk out and was relieved when Lucy just continued to smile and walked closer to the kitchen counter.
She placed the dog right in front of her and she flinched. Amelia was never really fond of animals and she was about to leave when Lucy held down her shoulder.
"I want you to find Gray and give Isaac to him, yeah?" She shook Amelia's shoulder and Amelia looked back at her.
"Am I supposed to carry him? Or.. or just let him walk?" She frantically asked. She hadn't wanted to get even 2 feet near the adorable creature but the idea of possibly seeing-- or having a conversation with-- Gray tempted her.
Lucy grinned toothily, and much to Amelia's horror, left soundly. The dog was left sitting and staring after the girl's retreating back. He then turned his bright eyes towards Amelia and she froze. She slowly held out her hand and patted the soft fur at the back of his head.
Please don't bite Please don't bite Please don't bite Please don't bite Please don't bite echoed in her mind like a broken record and when the dog just leaned in to her touch and let out his pink tongue in what looked like contentment. She grew bolder and stretched out her palm, scratching the white fur.
"You have such clean hair" she whispered and when her hand traveled to explore the dog's hind legs she found a mark that made Isaac much more beautiful than he already was.
There right on top of his right hind leg was a grey spade, neat and perfect. The mark looked like unnatural and she stared and prodded at it.
"A grey spade" she spoke with awe. But then just as she spoke, a thought popped out abruptly.
"Grey..GRAY!" She gasped and stood. Amelia carefully extracted the dog from the kitchen counter and carried him gently in her arms.
She smiled and softly shook him " Little furbaby" the girl giggled and Isaac barked before turning his snout towards her arm and presssing his cold wet nose against it.

Minutes passed and there was no sign of Grey's whereabouts. Lorelei's large house was eerily empty and Kurt, the only one who occupied the house aside from Amelia, had no idea where the guy was for he was holed up like a hermit in his office.

Right after she had exited Kurt's office she had dropped Isaac and let him walk. Amelia's arms were not used to physical labor.

The human-dog duo had decided to take an afternoon walk instead. Perhaps Gray was with Lorelei and Franz.
Wherever the two were, nobody knows.

Amelia was laughing while watching the dogs chasing one another, Isaac being one of those dogs when she spotted a familiar figure standing beside the water fountain.
Is that? She thought and walked closer.

Upon closer inspection did she notice that the boy was wearing a blue jacket with a large bold print displayed on the back, it said "YOU AIN'T SPECIAL"
and Amelia smiled at that because her mission was finally over.

The dark haired girl tapped on the boy's shoulder and he turned around.
Gray's face was hilarious panorama of annoyance, confusion and then embarrassed.
When she looked down at the print on his front jacket, it said " EVERYBODY POOPS"
The boy must have noticed her gaze because he coughed his throat and chuckled, "It's Tim's shirt, actually.. He left it at home so I just used it" he shrugged and shoved his hands in his front pockets, a gesture so boyish that made her heart flutter and Amelia was at a lost for words.
Now that she knew what this feeling that clawed inside her chest was, she couldn't properly act around him--rather, she didn't know how to act around him.
Amelia was about to speak, to tell him how nice it looked on him when a series of barks saved her from potential embarrassment.

She looked down at the white flurry that was racing towards them and from behind her, she could hear Gray's loud, emphatic yell of "ISAAC!!".

Amelia's gaze followed the dog and she found herself staring at the Gray and Isaac. Isaac was happily licking Gray's face and and Gray was now squatting, stroking the dog's ears and smiling tightly, his smiling lips and eyes sealed shut.
