Chapter 1

"That was the weirdest story I've ever heard of," Isaac told his best friend Perry "Yeah, I don't see how we got the weirdest English class, and how we only have nine people in our class," "Well, maybe it's because we're smarter than everyone else," Isaac told Perry. "We both have all A's in our class, but Walt is in our class and his grade are more average than.... super smart," Perry told Isaac." "I don't know," Isaac said back to Perry, "that does seem weird, but I have to go to my Health class, and you have to go to Business class, so I'll see you at lunch, alright?" Perry replied back "alright," then they went different directions. While Isaac was walking through the hallway he ran into someone. "Oh! I'm so...," he ran into his bully Taylor. "What to you think your doing stick man?" Taylor bluntly told Isaac. "Just leave me alone, Taylor," Isaac mumbled back. "Tell me, why did you run into me, huh," Isaac replied back "Hey, I didn't mean to," "Yeah right pipsqueak," Taylor swung a punch a Isaac but luckily he ducked down and then he started to run. He was halfway through the hallway when he turned around and he saw Taylor being lectured by a teacher and two familiar people were walking up to him. It was Walt and his friend John. "You okay Isaac" Walt asked Isaac. "Yeah I'm fine, thanks," Isaac told Jon and Walt. "Well, this is my friend Jon which I'm pretty sure you've met before," "hi," Jon said to Isaac. "Can we walk together Isaac?" Jon said. "I'm pretty sure we're both in the same health class," "Yeah, that's fine with me Jon," Isaac told him. "Well, I have to go to Math class guys." Walt said "See you later." Jon and Isaac were both walking to health class which was two doors away when Jon asked "Have you ever met Keith?" Isaac replied back "No." "He's in our class, and our English class." Isaac replied back to Jon as they walked through "I've never me Ke...," He turned around and say Keith and said "Oh yeah, I have met him," Jon walked over to Keith and said "Hi Keith." Keith replied back "Oh... hi Jon and Isaac." Isaac replied to Keith "You want to sit with Perry and I I at lunch because class is about to start," Keith replied back to Isaac with a nod and then as soon as he stopped nodding the bell rang. Jon and Isaac both sat down in their seats, and then the Health teacher came in, and rambled about the half of the bones in the body, and then gave them work that all three of them finished in about fifteen minutes. All three of them sat there and waited for the lunch bell to ring. The bell finally rang and they all picked up their stuff and went out in the hallway. "is it okay is my friend Ethan sits with us Isaac?" Keith asked "That's fine," Isaac replied back. They all put up their items and walked to the busy lunch line where the met up with Ethan, Walt, and Perry who was sweating bullets. "What's for lunch today?" Isaac asked "Oh I think it's burgers or something close to that," Ethan told Isaac "Who are you anyway?" Ethan asked Isaac "His name is Isaac, Ethan," Keith told him. "You want cheese on your burger?" a lunch lady asked Perry. "Are we all getting cheese?" He asked them. "I'm not getting cheese," Walt told him. "We're all getting cheese except for him," Perry told the lunch lady. "So, do you guys want to come to my hang-out down near the river?" Jon asked all of them. "I hang-out there with three other people down there," They all replied with a yes and got there lunch and rambled about their grade, and how they many games each of them have beat on their game systems. The bell rang for their 5th period class which was a big study hall. All of them were too engrossed about going to Jon's hang-out to even work on homework which none of them had. "So it's really yours?" Ethan asked "Yeah it is," Jon said "I got it for my birthday last month," he said. "You guys just need to go tog outside the Methodist church and I'll pick you up there," Jon told all of them. "That's fine to me," Perry said. "I live right next to it." "I can do that," Keith said. "I'll get Ethan along the way and we'll be right there." "I can make it there, too," Isaac told him. Walt just nodded because he's been there before. While they were over there a teacher walked up to them and handed all of them extra homework because they "weren't doing any homework" even though they already had it all done. "Well, luckily we have something to do there Jon," Perry said "Yeah, I guess we do," Jon told him. They all sat there for the last five minutes trying to figure out the vague questions that were on the paper. The bell rang for their 6th period. All of them left the stuffy room where they walked out and saw Taylor with his two other friends Damion and Cameron. "guys just be quiet so they don't notice," they slowly walked past them but sadly Taylor saw them. "you trying to build up a team to fight me stick man?" He rudely asked. "Just leave us alone!" Ethan told him "Why don't you shut up red head," Taylor told him but Ethan refused and told him "Leave us Alone!" he pushed Taylor and he fell to the ground where Damion and Cameron grabbed him and helped him back up "your dead red head!" Taylor told Ethan. Taylor ran after Ethan but Ethan stood there. He picked up his knee and made Taylor run into it. There was a *crack* when Taylor ran into Ethan and they both fell to the ground. Taylor was hit in the privates so he was in pain on the ground, but Ethan's knee we bent five degrees in the wrong directions. "Ow Ow Ow!" Ethan said. "Come on Perry help me get him up!" Keith said. Perry bent down and helped Ethan up while Damion and Cameron were doing the same thing. "We need to bring him to the nurse," Walt said. All of them helped Ethan get to the nurse where he was picked up by his mother and brought to the hospital. "Thank you for helping Ethan you guys," the nurse said. They all replied back with "your welcome." "Well, sadly the bell rang while you were helping him, but I can give you a note to tell your teachers that you helped someone who was in need," the nurse said. "What's your teachers' names," she asked. Keith and Walt said "Mr. Penham." Perry, Jon, and Isaac said "Ms. Houze." the nurse replied back to them "Okay, I'll call them right now, so you better get to your classes." "Alright," they all said and they left her office and started walking to their lockers. "I can't believe that happened," Keith said. Jon replied back to them, "Yeah, but I know that Ethan is a strong guy , so he'll probably handle it fine." "Yeah your right," Walt said. All of them went to their classes after getting all the items they needed, and they waited in their classes until the bell rang. That was the last class of the day. They all met together outside. "So, we're going to be at the church by four, okay," Jon said. "They all said "okay" and they got on their buses and went home. On the way home Jon and Walt looked out the window and saw the forlorn manor "That's the manor that Mrs. Irwing talked about isn't it?" Walt asked. "Yeah I think..." Jon was stopped by Walt pointing at one of the windows at the top floor. Inside the window there were two yellow glowing eyes looking straight at their bus.
