Ethan was in the hospital bed at their local hospital waiting for his doctor to dismiss him and his mother. "How long do you think it'll take for him to get us out?" he asked his mom. "I don't know, they usually keep us in ere for so long so they can get more money off of us," she replied back to him. "How about you wake me up when he gets here because this'll probably take a while," he told his mom who replied back "okay." Ethan closed his eyes as he slowly felt the world around his disappear and turn into a new one. "Wake up sleepyhead," his mom said from the back of his mom's SUV. He opened his eyes and saw that he was in his mom's car. "Where are we right now?" he asked. "Oh, we're in Cleves I think," she replied back. "Hey! you don't mind if we go over to one of my friend's house for dinner?" He replied back "That's fine with me, where do they live?" "Up here in North Bend by the church," she replied back. Ethan looked out the window and waited for them to be there, but something was different about the trees. They didn't look right. Was it fall of summer? How long where they driving? Am I awake of asleep? Ethan decided to pinch himself, but he didn't wake up, so he must've been awake. "We're hear honey," his mom told him. He was in front of the big manor that had opaque windows and looked as if it has been abandoned. "Are you sure this is the right house mom," Ethan asked. "I know this is the right house honey," his mom replied back to him. His mom got out of the car followed by him with his crutches. His mom rang the doorbell, and all you could here is "B-ng B--g" as if the doorbell was broken. A window opened at the top and you can hear a woman's voice saying "come in!" Ethan thought for a second "Wasn't her friend a male? Oh well maybe she didn't hear me." Ethan walked in with his mom who was already sitting at the dining table. He checked out the foyer before he went in. The couch was a bit dusty, but it was very fancy. The coffee table in front of it was also a bit dusty. There wasn't a TV in the foyer. There were two staircases in the back of the foyer. He went into the dining room and sat across from his mom. He waited there for about ten minutes with his mom until he finally asked her, "Do you know when she'll get down here?" "I'll be a while like she always is," Ethan got back up and went into the kitchen. There was already food sat out, but he wanted to wait for his mom's friend to get here. He went back in and asked his mom, "do you know what we are having?" His mom looked up at him with yellow eyes and said, "You" Ethan couldn't move out of his seat. His body wouldn't let him. His mom got up and crawled across the table towards him. He screamed "Help!" to his mom's friends, but she didn't come down. He looked back at his mom who was right in front of him and reached out to bite him then he woke up. His mom said, "The doctor just came in and said we can go." Ethan looked at his mom for a little bit to see anything off about her which he didn't then he got his crutches and came along with his mom to the car. HE got in the car with his mom and drove all the way until they got to Cleves. He was waiting for his mom to say "Hey! you don't mind if we go over to one of my friend's house for dinner?" but she never did. They got all the way to North Bend where he didn't see the big house that they went to in his dream. They pulled up in their driveway. Ethan got out of the car and went straight to his room. He was in horror. "Did that really happen?" he though in his mind. He got out his book where he wrote down strange things that he's encountered like waking nightmares and night terrors. He went back downstairs and told his mom, "I'm going out with some friends." His mom replied back, "Okay." He walked towards the Methodist church where he saw nobody there.
