What happened the day before MAGcon probably could have been avoided. But then again, it really could not have.

All of us decided that it would be a great idea to walk down to the Chicago river and eat a street vendor hot dog or something. Then we would sit down there and eat our supper on the steps.

It really was a good idea, it just didn't go exactly as planned.

Maisie and I walked together to a cute little hot dog stand that sold hand made smoothies. I got a Chicago style hot dog and a peach smoothie. Maisie got a plain hot dog and a strawberry banana smoothie.

We walked over to where our friends were sitting, eating there various foods. We sat there in complete and utter harmony and bliss for a while.

That was until Maisie got up to throw her trash away.

She had only drank half of her smoothie and was too full to drink the rest. No one else has wanted it, so she decided to just get rid of it.

As she was walking, she tripped over her own feet. As she fell, the lid flipped off her smoothie and it was as if the world was going in slow motion.

She fell forward right into a guy wearing a white shirt, spilling the pink substance all over him. The first thing I heard was a curse word.

Maisie stood up from the ground. "I'm so sorry, I just-" she started to apologize.

"Can you watch where your going?" He asked rudely.

Maisie steeped back. "I said I was sorry."

"Yeah? You're sorry?" He asked getting in her face. "Well I'm sorry you got pink crap all over my 90 dollar tee shirt, -----" he then proceeded to call her a very rude name.

I had had it. I stood up.

"Excuse me, but do you have a problem?" I asked.

"Yeah," he answered. "You friend over her is a little," he then called her another name that was not nice. I bit my tongue to stop myself from going off on him.

"I don't know why," I continued. "Because she said sorry." I stepped closer to him.

"Yeah?" he replied, getting in my face. "Well your just as much of a -----, you ----" this caused Bryce to stand up. I shot him a look, but he did not sit back down.

I glared at the guy. "Do you want to fight me?" I asked. "Cause I would not be against that."

The jerk scoffed. "Like a little pip squeak like you could beat me up." He smirked.

"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself," I threatened.

"Cass," Bryce said warningly from behind me. I didn't look back. Jerk bag did, though.

"That your boyfriend?" He asked. "And your friends? It looks like a pack of" lots of curse words that aren't very nice.

This made me snap. I lunged at the guy and tackled him. We somersaulted and I ended on top of him. I started hitting him.

I sent a blow to his nose and heard and crack. It started bleeding. The guy, in his rage, picked me up and threw me to the side, where I slammed against a fence.

This is where the guys stepped in. Everyone had rushed around when I tackled the guy, and now he was being beat up by Bryce, Cam, Matt, Nash, Hayes, and Cole. But mostly Bryce.

I stood up as he girls came to me. Someone asked if I was okay, but I was still glaring at the guy who was now sitting on the ground, not being beat up by the guys.

I stormed towards him, but someone grabbed my arms and held me back. I struggled. "Let me at him!" I exclaimed.

"No," Bryce commanded. "He's been beaten up enough. And I'm not letting you put yourself in more danger." I finally relaxed in his grasp.

We went immediately back to the hotel. It was only then that I realized there was a cut on my head from where it hit the fence. I cleaned it up and put a band aid on it. I went to the room where everybody else was.

I walked in the room and everybody immediately got quiet. "Hey guys," I greeted.

No one answered at first, but then all of a sudden everyone was talking at the same time.

"Are you okay?"

"That was so cool!"

"You beat his a- butt!"

I rolled my eyes. "Guys chill. It wasn't that cool-"

"Cass," Aaron interupted. "Why'd you fight him? He was so much bigger than you."

"Yeah," Ella agreed. "You could've gotten seriously hurt."

I stared at them. "I didn't though, did I? I was defending my friend. If some guy insults my friend, I'm not just going to let him do that."

"Thanks," Maisie squeaked from the corner.

"Now," I started. "The real reason I can in here was to get Cole."

Cole looked up. "Why?"

"I wanted to know if you would like to do a dance with me at Magcon tomorrow. You'd have to learn the dance now."

Cole shrugged and stood up. "Sure."

Cole and I went into a secluded part of the hallway and I taught him first how to spot when turning.

The first thing he did was fall and roll down the hallway.

This was going to be a long night
