What's Next?

As I watched him walk away I swore, that I saw a tear or two fall down his face. I tired to yell after him, to get him to come back,  but when I opened my mouth no words came out. Then I couldn't see him anymore, he was out of sight and out of yelling distance. 

  I looked back down at Chris. Seeing that his face was going back to its normal color. I lightly smiled at him.

  "Are you okay?" I asked as I sat down next to him.

  "Yeah, I'll be fine." He said as he slowly sat up, and then tried to stand up. But he fell back down, with a roll of his eyes. I couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. "Hey don't laugh!" He told me and I started to laugh more.

  Then he started to laugh with me, I guess my laughter was just contagious. Odin rolled his eyes and walked off in the direction that Thor walked off in. Probably to go talk to him, calm him down maybe or something. But, the old women was still there. I looked up forgetting that she was, so I stood up and looked at her. I gave her a small sky smile.

  "I'm sorry I'm-" But before I could finish she cut me off, with a small smile.

  "Erica, I know your father is my son. I'm Frigga."

  "Oh." My eyes lit up some. "It's really nice to meet you. I glad that I have finally gotten a grandmother." She lightly smiled.

  "Why, thank you. But, if I may ask, what happened to your grandparents on your mothers side?" She asked, and I lightly sighed.

  "Oh." I looked up at her, as I shifted in my spot, before looking back down  "My mother never talks about them."

I looked down at my feet the whole time on said that. I could feel her looking at me with sad eyes. I think Chris knew I was sad, because he put his arm around me. I didn't even notice that he got up.

  "How long are you going to be here?" Chris asked me as looked up.

  "Um" I paused, caught alittle off gaurd. "I don't know. But, I so have school tomorrow. So I have to leave soon. My mom would kill me if I missed a day and wasn't sick." He looked sad when I told him that and before he or I could say anything Frigga said something first.

  "Why don't I put you in school here, so you don't hve to leave so soon." She said as she took a step closer. "Give you time to get to know your father and his side of the family."

  "I don't know." I shook my head."You can't really call this into the school."

   "Please." Chris said as he step next to me letting go of my shoulder.

  "I guess I can stay, but just for a little while." I said to both him and Frigga.

  "Yay! Now, I have to go before I get in trouble." With that he gave me a hug and waved as he ran off. I smiled and looked at my grandmother.

  "Frigga." I said as I turned towards her.

  "Please sweetie call me grandmother, if you like to."

  "Oh okay." I lightly smiled. "Grandmother, I'm going to feel out of place. Everyone is gonna know I don't belong here." I told her as we began to walk down the long hallway.

  "Why is that sweetheart? You are the daughter of the soon to be King of Asguard. You are a princess from birth and until death." She smiled at me and held her hands in front of her as she walked.

   "I grew up on Earth, I'm part human." I said to her, slight fear in my eyes. "They're gonna know.'

    "That's what makes you all the more special." She said as we turned down another long hallway.

   "It does?" It asked, looking around trying to remember all the twist and turns.

   "Yes, you're one of a kind. Alot of people here on Asguard are alike in someway and somehow." She told me as we stopped in front of two big golden doors. "It's great to be different from others. Being different isn't at bad thing."

   "Oh, I guess I never thought of it like that." I lightly smiled. "What's in this  room?" I asked as she began to open the doors.

   "This will be your room for as long as your here and for as long as you live. There are already cloths in here that I know that will fit you." She said as we walked in. "So, you can fit in with the style of what we wear here. Since, you don't want to stand out." I smiled and lightly laughed before looking around.

  "Thank you so much." She smiled at me.  "You are so nice, you just met me. And, you ask like you've know me my whole life."

  "Awe, why that you sweetie. I'll let you get to know where things are."

  With that she gave me a hug and waved goodbye  when she got to the door and left. The door closing behind her and making a soft click compared to the size of the door. I looked around the room. It was so beautiful, it was like a dream.

There was a bed that looked like it was made for a princess. Then there were two door, I went to the one on the left. It was a bathroom with a giant tub and a shower that was next to the tub. As two sink corner and toilet across from the sink(s). I walked out and over to the next door, it was a closest. It looked like a store inside it. But, as I looked around I heard the door to the room open. I walked out to see who it was.
