Finding My Dad

As I sat down next to my mom and Jane. This women I just meet, and my mom seems like they've known each other for years. Like they were best friends. We all sat quietly, only the noise from the city was all that could be heard. I sat looking at my feet. Waiting for one of them to say something. Waiting for one of them to say anything.

"Mom, I almost sixteen you don't have to call me princess. It makes me sound like I've five years old again." I told her to break the silence.

I tried to sound as nice as I could, I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I hate it when she is sad, it shows so much in her eyes.

"Oh, okay." She lightly smiled. "But, the-" My mom began, but Jane cut her off before she could finish. I looked at her with my eyes narrowed.

"No." She quickly said before taking a breath and calming herself down. "I think it's best that he tells her."

"Best if WHO tells me?" I asked, looking at my mom.

I wanted  to know what she was hiding from me. But, just after I ask there was a loud blast of thunder and a bright lighting strick. A thump could be heard landing on the roof of the building. The two women looked up at the ceiling. I looked at them like they were crazy.

"What's going on? What was that?" I asked looking back and forth, but I only got silence.

I wanted answers. But, I got nothing, nothing but silence. This went on for ten minutes. They didn't saw a word to me. This was normal to them, like they knew this was coming. Just as Jane was going to say something.  There was another loud thud, but it wasn't just one. There were more and was getting closer and louder as it came. It was like a monster was coming to eat me or something.

A worried look came to my face, and I knew it was. I was scared and worried out of my mind. But, they looked at me like I was the crazy one. Then they laughed. LAUGHED!  They knew what was going on and I didn't. It wasn't fair! Not one bit!

"What's going on!?" Once again I was left with silence. I was starting to get a little mad, and I really didn't like it. Soon the thudding got closer and louder than it was before.

I could feel my heart beat in my ear. Then all of a sudden the noise stopped, all was like it was before.

'Knock' Knock' 'Knock'

There was a knocking at the door, and I jumped out of my skin. It felt like I had jumped out of my skin. I guess I should have seen that coming, but it still scared me.

"I'll get it." My mom said as she stood up, she lightly smiled before she walked over to the door.

I watched her take in a breath before she opened the door. There stood a tall, long blond haired man with a red cape. A cape? He was dressed as if he was from another planet.

"Hello." My mom said to him and gave him a hug. Then Jane got up and hugged him too. Well, she more ran at him than walked, and their hug did last longer. He smiled as he walked in. Hanging a giant hammer on the jacket rack, like it was a hat.

"I sweetie, how's Asguard?" Jane said, staring at the man that towered over her and my mother.

Let alone, I know he was gonna tower over me. I was a inch or two shorting than my mother, who wasn't that tall to begin with.

"Asguard?" I asked as the man with the red cape walked over to me.

"Hello Erica." He smiled down at me, taking a break for an unneeded breath. "I'm Thor, of Asguard. God of Thunder."

He paused again, seeming like he was trying to take as much time as he could. Why was he taking so many breaks between his words? It's not like he could be scared of many thing. You could tell me was strong. He was super tall, taller than most people I knew. In fact I don't think I know anyone that is taller or as tall as him.

"I'm your father."

"What?!" I yelled, standing up from the table. The chair slid out from behind me, making a loud nosie. He sat down at the table, calmly.  "What do you mean you're my dad? And what on earth is Asguard?"

"Well to answer your second question Asguard is the the world I come from. There I'm the son of the Alfather, Odin. As I said, I'm the God of Thunder."

"God of Thunder?" I asked, narrowing my eyebrow. You could tell I was confused, it was written all over my face.

He stood up and held his hand out for me to take. He held a light smile on his face. You could tell he was trying.

"Come on, I don't bite." I stood there for a moment before I took his hand.

He took me out the door and up a fight of stars. Jane and my mom followed close behind us.  He had the hammer in is hand, holding it at his side as he walked. When we got to the top he held my hand tighter, and started to swing the hammer. The wind picked up and my feet started to be lifted off the ground.

"She has school tomorrow! Thor, you better bring her back!" I heard my mom yell.

But, them I couldn't hear anything. All I could was see the stars, and they were beautiful. Then we were shrouded by lights. Pretty lights, it was hard to explain them. When the lights cleared we were I a room that looked like it was made from gold.

"Where are we?" I asked sounding like a little girl. Wow, what I great way to act almost being sixteen.

"Asguard." He smiled down at me and he let go of my hand, walking away.  I looked around before running after him. I looked down as I walked. It looked like I was on this path that was clear, but had color running thought it like  electricity. The more I looked down as I walked, I felt like I was going to fall. When I looked up there was a beautiful city. There was no way to explain the beauty I saw.
