I must've fallen asleep, feeling a light tap on my shoulder I lifted my head. Looking around I blinked a few times adjusting my eyesight. Come to find out it was August.
"Come on so I can get the fuck outta here and you can go where eva it is yah ass belong." Scoffing, I sat up looking at him. Today definitely was not my day, "Listen here August, today has been so hard for me. I've lost my baby, my baby daddy doesn't care. Shit I've even been evicted. So you will not treat me like this. I won't stand for it. I'm 17 and my life is just as shitty as shit can get, so how about you take that attitude of yours and shove it up your fucking asshole."
He laughed at me, dead in my damn face, he laughed. Walking away I got up to follow him to his flashy car. Walking there seemed to be the longest walk I ever took, stepping inside the car he asked me where I was going.
"Well since I was evicted I'll go and stay in a shelter." I looked down at my lap, a fucking shelter is all I'm good for. "Listen," he started, " I'm not sure why I have so much sympathy towards you but I have a two bedroom apartment, if you want you could come and stay with me until you get back on your feet."
Looking over at him I questioned his intentions, "what do you want from me huh? I have nothing to offer I'm sorry." Giving me a look of disgust he stopped the car, "Listen, I don't want shit from a lil ass girl who don't got shit! Yah heard meh?" Silently turning in my seat I nodded my head and awaited our destination.

Arriving at a very nice apartment complex August put in the pin, I hadn't said a word since he put my young ass in check! I was embarrassed, staying in a strangers apartment was not how I planned my future. Taking the elevator to his floor was mad silent, so silent you could hear my uneven breathing.
As we walked inside I took a few seconds to look around, it was so nice and well taken care of I would have thought a female lived here! Awkwardly standing in his living room I looked at him, " you can sleep in the room nearest to the back" he instructed. I made my way back there and studied the room, there was a bathroom attached which was amazing! Quickly making a realization that the bathroom was a joint bathroom, connected to what I'm guessing was his room. I sighed, guess I wouldn't be getting any privacy after all.
Walking back into what would be my room, I looked at my phone lighting up with my jobs name on it. "Hello," I answered. "Uh yeah this Tk, sorry sweetie but we're going to have to let you go. You missed work today without an appropriate warning sweetie!" Widening my eyes I looked at the phone, "Ma'am I'm so sorry that I'm not sorry, this has been the worst two days of my life, so honestly fuck you and that 8.10 an hour ass job!" Hanging up and throwing my phone down I slid down the wall and finally let reality sink in!
