I woke up feeling exhausted. Then I realized today was my first day of my senior year in my new school. I got out of bed and went to go brush my teeth and take a shower. The whole time I thought to myself how I hoped things would go. I hope the kids would like me. The kids in my other school didn't pay much attention to me because I was very quite. Well even if they didn't at least I'd still have Sam. That was all that mattered. After I got dressed and everything I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I saw my dad in the kitchen making his lunch for work.
"Are you excited for your first day of school", he asked trying to calm me down because I was so nervous.
" Yeah I guess".
"Well you should be this a chance for you to make some new friends".
" Look dad I don't need you to give me a lecture about how I need to make new friends".
"okay. Just saying. See you later."
"See you later. Bye".
After my dad pulled off I got a text from Sam.
Sam: you awake yet?
me: yeah but I'm exhausted
Sam: are you excited for your first day at your new school
me: yeah I'm just a little nervous
Sam : why?
me: I'm just worried that people won't like me
Sam: trust me they'll like you, hey can you also pick me up I need a ride
me: sure of course, but I don't know where you live
Sam: of yeah of course, its a big white house you'll see me standing outside okay
me: okay be there in ten minutes see you then
Sam: thanks see you then
After I finished eating my bowl of cereal I ran upstairs got my backpack, wallet, and keys. I left three minutes early just in case cause I didn't want to be late picking Sam up. As I went down the street I saw Sam standing outside a big white house. He walked up to my car with a big smile on his face.
" Thanks again for picking me up", her said as he got into the car.
"No problem. Anything for you", I said and regretted it as soon as it came out.
He looked at me then laughed then smiled, After that the whole car ride was silent.
When we got to the school I stopped in my tracks and just stared at the building.
"Are you coming?", Sam asked.
" Yeah, I'm just a little nervous ", I said.
" It's okay I'll show you to your classes".
"okay", I said as he led me into their school.
He showed me to my first and second period classes. When I walked into both class periods everybody stared. The teachers also in my first and second period class made me introduce myself. Sam was only in one of my classes science. The only other time we'd see each other was at lunch. After my second period class I walked to lunch by myself since I knew where that was. Sooner or later I saw Sam sitting with a bunch of other people. I walked over to the table said " Hi" , then sat down.
"So Mackenzie how was your first and second period class?", Sam asked trying to make conversation.
" Good, thanks for asking ".
" So let me introduce you to everyone. This is JC,kian,Trevor, Ricky, Connor, Andrea, and Jenn", he said as he pointed to each one of them.
"Hi",they all said in sync.
