I woke up that morning, did my usual routine, and got ready for school. I picked up Sam and he came towards the car with a big smile on his face.
"What's up with you?", I asked Sam when he got into the car.
" Well, tonight there's this really big party and I was wondering if you wanted to go?"
"Sam, you know I basically just got here, I'm not really in the mood for parties. I barely even know anyone here."
"Come on you know lots of people here".
" And by lots of people you mean your friends".
"Hey, come on they like you, they always say good things about you".
" Just because they say it doesn't mean they mean it".
"Look Mackenzie, can you just think about it?"
"Fine", I said in an annoyed voice.
We rode silent the rest of the way. I don't know why Sam cared if I went or not I mean it's a just a party. And for some reason I don't trust his friends. Actually I don't trust lots of people, its kind of a trust issue thing.
Sam's P.O.V
I didn't get why she was acting like this, like she was keeping secrets. I didn't get why she had trust issues . I mean I trusted my friends, they never did anything wrong to me. But why would she keep secrets from me? I thought she could trust me enough to tell me anything. I didn't talk about it because I didn't want to start anything. So we rode in silence.
