Iolas, the youngest Prince of his nation was once engaged to beautiful princess Adelaide, but he was exiled back to his home country, stripped of his power and imprisoned deep below the castle walls after his plot to kill her brother the King was foiled. Adelaide was heartbroken, but quickly found new love in the arms of her childhood best friend.
Months later in the midst of a brutal war that claimed the life of her brother and seemingly that of her new fiance, the princess turned Queen calls with no avail for aide from all her allies to fight the Viking Scourge that has invaded her homeland and killed it's King.
Knowing the mission is one of near suicide, Iolas's father offers his son the chance to earn back the power and position. He must save the woman he wronged and her kingdom, or die trying.
