"The strongest of power shall be yours, and you will be capable of saving the world, but the cost to that shall be falling in love."This was the Fate of Blaise, a message given in his sleep at just 14 years old by that very thing itself. Like many other Fate Touched, he awoke the next day with strange and unearthly powers; but
Blaise Icabod was different from the others in two ways, the first and most obvious, his ability to master and embody the very essence of flame and heat itself, for Fate had not gifted fire to one of her chosen in nearly 500 years, not since the last one nearly scorched the planet; the second, less obvious but equally puzzling difference, his fate seemed to be only positive, and seemingly contained no negative, no dark glimpse of a future consequence, as all fates do."You shall always get what you want, but it will not be exactly how you want it."
These were the words the ominous voice of fate had spoken to Leah at the tender age of 11, and when she awoke, she was ecstatic to discover her Fates gift to be flight. Though her gift was received on the earlier side of the usual scale, for Leah, living the life of a Fate Touched could not come soon enough. As the Daughter of a wealthy merchant, she already lived a good life, but spent her days dreaming of meeting her soul mate, being caught in the thrall of passion and the undeniable pull of lust that would culminate in both fulfilling your fate, and recieving fates brand, that magical black tattoo that would appear simultaneously on the wrists of fated lovers, sealing them together forever.
When Blaise meets Leah in the midst of saving the world, the connection is instant, undeniable, and it does not take long for those beautiful black bands to appear, sealing them together forever, but when trouble arises once more, and he is the only one who can save the world, he soon unearths the devastating truth, that his Fate, seemingly positive, and long ago assumed to be just an error, is in fact a double edged sword.

Had this in a dream last night, and I haven't had an idea stick with me this hard since Bedding Camp, so I might begin writing this ASAP. It may contain some polyamorous undertones, we shall see.
(Not RH level or anything, more like Mormonish, or old school biblical)
I'm just checking to see if that something y'all are comfortable with.
Let me know what you think in the comments. Coming soon to a wattpad library near you!
