Lunar POV**
I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock. Another detention, I really need to chill out.
I got out of bed and grabbed my tiny backpack and put some stuff in there, like my charger, a water bottle, a bag of chips, and my portable charger. I zipped up the book bag and went into my bathroom. I put my hair in a messy bun, brushed my teeth then washed my face.
I walked downstairs and saw my mom on the couch watching TV while holding my new born baby brother. I grabbed a granola bar out of the pantry and started chomping on that while I scrolled threw insta.
"Lulu, get dressed so I can drop you off at the school, I have work and your grandma is taking care of khristen" my mom explained patting khristen's back so he could burp
"Ok" I said throwing the wrapper to the granola bar away and running up the stairs, I texted my best friend Zoe telling her I was on the way
I threw my phone on the bed and walked to my closet, I pulled out some cozy/comfortable clothes knowing that I would be picking up trash and scraping gum off the bleachers.
I put on a all black cropped hoodie, black Adidas tights and Nike runners. I grabbed my mini back pack almost forgetting my head phones, I grabbed them and ran downstairs fixing my messy bun.
"I'm ready" I mumbled looking at my mom on the couch
"Alright, let's go" she said getting off the couch and grabbing khristen from playing off the floor
We walked out of the house and towards the car. My mom got in the car while I strapped khristen into his car seat. Once I was done I closed his door and got in the passenger seat.
Once I got in the passenger seat my mom drove off. I slowly saw the school as we were getting closer and closer.
"Bye Lulu, love you. I'll be back to pick you up during my lunch break" my mom smiled
"Ok, love you too" I said kissing her cheek "bye khris" I said fixing my body so I could get to him, then kissed his forehead
I got out of the car and shut the door, she slowly pulled off, I watched the car go down the road until it was out of sight. I looked around and saw some cheerleaders, basketball ball players, people putting up petitions.
I finally went into the school and towards the detention room. I got in there and told the coach my name then I sat down, sneekily slipping in my headphones, I started playing some music at a low volume so I could still hear the coach.
A brown haired boy walked in and started whispering to the coach, they exchanged a few words before the coach snapped at him to get in a seat, I saw the brown haired boy mouth a 'thank you' and I raised my eyebrow.
"All right, people, I got to go get something. Let's put the cell phones away. Eyes forward. Mouths shut" the coach said sternly before walking out
I picked up a pen off the floor and started drawing stuff on my hand. I heard the brown head boy, who's name I now know is Grover because of his poor flirting, he was trying to flirt with violet the so called "bad girl" at our school. I turned up the volume and leaned back in my chair nodding my head to whatever Drake song came on.
About 10 minutes later, The coach walked back in and I sat up and turned the volume down.
"Oh! Your gonna loose that phone little lady" the coach said making violet quickly put her phone away "alright people, get up here and grab a bucket. This is hard time" the coach said as he dropped a load of buckets on the ground. I got out of my seat and took out my headphones, I slipped them in my hoodie pocket along with my phone
I grabbed a bucket and fell in line with everybody else. Grover was still talking and red head was giving him the death stare.
"Dude shut up" I chuckled
"Ha" red head teased as Grover rolled his eyes
We all walked towards the basket ball court where there were, people running for president putting up posters and basketball players practicing. I saw noodle, who has been my crush since 5th grade, walk over to Zoe and Leshawn, they were making out under the bleachers. Typical.
I chuckled to my self as I watched noodle annoy them "alright, you two got trash duty" he said turning to violet and Grover "you guys are gonna be scraping gum off the bleachers" he said turning to me, red head and this other dude.
"Fuck, that's gross" I groaned
"For how long?" Violet asked
"Noodle! Got rocks in your shorts?" The coach asked jokingly by the way noodle was playing, completely ignoring violet's question
"Not me coach. Only rocks I got are the ones I was born with" he said shaking his hips causing us to laugh
"You'll be scraping the bleachers until all the gums off" he said coming back to her question, I groaned as a ear drum breaking alarm went off
I heard people mutter cuss words and other things as a man started to talk "Code nine. Containment breach imminent. Aerial contamination danger. Remain indoors. Close all windows. Seek shelter. - Repeat code nine" the man stated
"On a Saturday? It's a drill" the coach said, as everyone started surrounding him
"We can just ignore it, right? No. No, we cannot ignore it. Drills exist for a reason. If Keller Chemical ever had a spill, knowing where to go and how to get there could save lives" Natalie aka goody two shoes said
Zoe, Leshawn and noodle walked up. Zoe scoffed at what she said "of course she's worried about following the rules" she mumbled
"You know that tight-ass?" Leshawn asked
"Knew her. Trust me, wish I didn't" Zoe rolled her eyes, we chuckled as a girl ran up to us
"Coach! It's not a drill, the chemical plant is on fire" the girl yelled
