Slowly waking up I let my eyes adjust to the morning light and a delightful smell invades my nose. I sit up in bed realizing Addruinna is no longer there and follow my nose to the kitchen. Addruinna stands at the stove flipping pancakes in a pan with nothing but sweatpants and a sports bra on. The table is set and a stack of pancakes and bacon sit on plates.

"The eggs will be ready in a moment", she tells me. She didn't have to do this.

She finishes up at the stove and sits down next to me, Addruinna leans over brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. "You know, you're really pretty", she says with a smile.

I feel heat rush to my face and a soft smile plays on my lips, "I- Thank you, you're pretty too."

"That's the first time I've seen you smile. Anyway eat up we'll need the energy for our first day at school."

We quickly finish, cleaning the table off before going to get dressed. The administration gave us our uniforms yesterday but we're only required to wear the blazers and bottoms. Putting on a cream button-down and the school's navy blue skirt, I grab the blazer and a pair of black bootie heels and head out. I put the blazer and shoes by the door as I go to prepare some tea, where the hell is the tea?

"Addruinna, do you know where the tea is?"

She walks in stopping in front of me and opens a cabinet above my head, "Here you go", she says handing me a box of apple spice tea. Hmm, not the kind I wanted but I'll take it.

"Oh and the sugar too please." she leans in close placing a hand on my waist as she reaches past me, I feel my face redden, and as she hands me the sugar she gives me a strange look.

"Why is your face so red?"

"No reason. I'm fine", my words rush out of my mouth earning a chuckle from Addruinna. God, she has a nice laugh. Nope, stop it. I have resisted all the other girls and I can resist this one. Don't take a liking to her. I fix my tea and put my shoes on prepared to leave.

"Do you wanna walk to class together and maybe sit with some of my friends at lunch today?", she asks as I open the door.

I give her a smile, "Sure I'd love to."

Making our way through the halls, we take a seat in our first class of the day. I immediately take out my notebook and pens, preparing for the teacher's lecture.

"What class is this again", Addruinna asks.

"Something called pragma."

"Oh okay."

The teacher walks in placing some papers on her desk before facing the class and beginning her lecture. "Hello, my name is Mrs. Torwick but you can call me Mrs. T. Can anyone tell me what this class is about or even what the name of this class means?"

Addruinna raises her hand the teacher permitted her to answer with a gesture and nod. "Pragma is one of the seven words for love in Greek and means longstanding or mature love."

"Yes, it does. That is the whole purpose of this class, to teach mates how to appreciate, protect, and care for your mate. It is all about assuring you have a longstanding and healthy relationship."

So she's cute and smart, I think to myself.

"The notebooks you have today will be used for notes in this class but I want you to have a journal about your mate. How they make you feel and how you want to make them feel. Just anything about your relationship." She continues with her lecture, "Your mate is your perfect match in body, soul, and power. Therefore any physical damage caused by your mate will take longer to heal especially without their help, which is why it's important to be careful and have self-control."
