Do I have to choose? (Kanan x Mari)

Kanan's P.O.V
Where on earth was she?!
I take out my phone and furiously type;

(Kanan36): where the hell are u??

No reply.
Typical.
I sigh angrily and shout to my father that I'll be leaving for school.
I'm out of my house and about to take a corner when I knock into a certain blonde haired idiot.
"MARI?!"
"KANAN?!"
"WHY DIDN'T YOU PICK ME UP?!"
"I overslept," The girl grinned cheekily.
I should've known!
"So..."
I then noticed that because of the fall we were sprawled on the floor and my hand was on hers. I blushed and took it away quickly.
"You idiot, Mari, you should've texted me!"
She shrugged as she stood up before me.
"Sorry, I thought I'd make it in time ~!" She exclaimed.
I sighed and stood as well. We decided to head off for Dia's house. And I asked how she overslept with an alarm.
As she struggled to think of a suitable excuse, I watched her rosy lips move and her grassy green eyes slightly look around, trying to find "help" I suppose. I chuckled under my breath slightly.
Wait, what?
I shook my head and frowned. Lately, I find myself longing for those 10 minutes we have alone whilst walking to Dia's house and back from school. I find myself thinking about her randomly and blushing a lot... It's not love, I know it, but what is it? I don't know anymore...
The blonde is looking at the ground now and blushing slightly. What did she just say?! I wasn't even paying attention, dammit!
"U-um..." I managed to spit out.
"Guys, over here!"
We looked up to see Dia and Ruby running towards us happily.
Whew, that was damn close ~! Good escape, Kanan ~!
I began running towards them grinning when I felt a pull on my sleeve... Huh..?
I turned round quickly and saw a completely red-faced Mari. "Y-your answer...?"
Oh my God... She didn't... confess... right..? My heart started racing as I felt my face turn as red as Mari's.
"A-ah! U-um..."
"Its joke ~!"
I looked up at a grinning Mari.
"Huh..?"
"You should've seen your face, Kanan ~!" She laughed.
"M-Mari-"
"KANAN!! MARI!! HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO SCREAM TO GET YOUR BUTTS HERE?!" Dia shouted and grinned at us.
"Coming ~!" Mari escaped!
But.. I could swear I saw that she still had a red face...
Wait... why do I even feel like this..? I shouldn't. Mari's my best friend!
