Do I have to choose? (Kanan x Mari)

Still Kanan's P.O.V.

I sat in class, still startled about what happened in the morning.
Jeez, she shouldn't do that to people! I don't even have the strength to tell her off!

I groaned and put my head on the desk whilst everyone was walking around, because our teacher told us to get ideas for our art class and go into partners.

I really didn't want to face Mari for some reason today, and Dia wasn't in this class--

"Mm... They really are growing, Kanan ~!"
I felt Mari's hands start groping me under the table...! Seriously?!
"Mari, get off me," I sighed.
"Gomene ~!" She said in a cheeky voice. "Want to be partners~?"
I sighed and banged my head on the table.

Mari hummed softly and smirked. "Come on, Kanan ~!"

Silence.

"Whatever..."
"Yay! We're gonna have so much fun ~!"
I mumbled an 'mhm' and arose from the desk. Today was such a hot day, I was not in the mood to do schoolwork at all.

Until the teacher told us we're allowed to go outside.

I stood up in my seat when I heard this information and was met by laughter from my classmates. The teacher sighed. "Please sit down, Matsuura."

I sat back down, laughing awkwardly. Dammit! I've already made a fool of myself in front of Mari!

...Wait, since when did I even care what she thought?!

I mentally slapped myself and frowned angrily. She's Mari! You've known her since like, forever! Why are you acting like you're in lo-

"Let's get going, Kanan~!" Mari had taken my hand and pulled me up from my seat. I groaned and blushed softly, quickly pulling away from her. "Yeah yeah, let's go."

Soon enough, we were all outside holding out clipboards and pencils. "Let's go find somewhere in the shade, Kanan~!" The blonde shouted happily, taking my arm and running to sit under a large tree, quite far from the others.

I scratched my neck and yawned a bit, sitting down next to her. "It's so hoooooot, it's making me sleepy..!" When I said this, Mari took the clipboard out of my hands and began fanning me with it. We both giggled loudly- just like we used to! I don't know what got over me in the weekend, but at least it's okay now~!

She began telling me what to write down on the clipboard, but I wasn't listening at this point, eyes closed and all.

I heard her sigh as I smirked and opened my eyes, suddenly blushing strongly.

Her face was just a few centimetres away from mine.
Her eyes were closed.
Was she about to kiss me?
