As me and my bestfriend started out for our night of fright we only thought of how fun our final halloween would be. My bestfriend had spent the night before halloween and we had spent the whole night discussing what we planned to do. We each had our costumes and they looked unbelievable I looked like a voodoo doll and she was the mad hatress (Female Mad Hatter) We had each used prosthetics to make our costumes look better. I made stiches on my face and she had add a couple scraps on her arms. Our plan for the night was to visit a few house then go to a halloween party for the night. As we walked down the street we passed teens our age wearing absurd costumes like a tiny cat costume with only thin tights and a crop top and then another was a guy wearing just a speedo and a cape. When they passed us we laughed and went on. We made the mistake of visiting a veggie freak's house so we got these weird, organic veggie candies. We decided to go to the other side of town and trick or treat up to the party. We called a guy friend of mine and he picked us up. As we began the drive to the other side of town we stopped in front of the woods. He asked if we remembered and we asked what he meant when we did he turned and we drove into the woods. The light of the setting sun lighting our path we drove farther until he stopped the truck and we got out. He grabbed a flashlight and we walked a little farther until we reached an old barn. I reached out and touched the old red finish of the building remembering the fun times we had. When I was younger I was really close with my best guy friend (the one who drove us) and my best girl friend of course. There was another friend but he was placed in a mental hospital a few years ago. We all would meet here to do homework, hangout, and mess around just doing kid stuff. Until one day we walked in and we weren't alone, we didn't know it until my friend (the one in the mental hospital) said he heard something so we went to see what it was. There was this crazy looking creature under an old wash basin and it bit my friend. It grabbed him and wouldn't let go we were scared and when we had finally gotten it off his arm we ran and never came back. My friend started getting sick and he didn't talk much at all afterwards then he killed his dad and his mother placed him in a mental hospital. I had visited a few times and everytime I mentioned his dad he would tell me his dad had knew about the creature and that he wanted it to bite him. I just always thought he was crazy or that thing gave him rabies or something. As I took my hand off the door of the barn my guy friend handed me a hand gun and my bestfriend a hatchet. He then handed each of us a flashlight and then asked "Do you think it's still in there?" We opened the doors and the barn look like it always did except this time the thick musky smell of the barn had a sense of dread laced in it. We shined our flashlight on the basin. As we walked to the old basin the ground cracked under our feet and I shined my flashlight to the ground. The floor of the barn was covered in bones little ones and human ones. When we reached the basin my guy friend lifted the basin with his sledge hammer handle. Under the basin lay a strange skeleton. My guy friend picked up the skeleton with a pair of gloves and it was that of the creature. We were so confused and at that same moment we heard a low growling from the corner of the barn the dusk light shining in through cracks in the wall illuminated the figure. It looked like someone hunched over and something was dripping from its mouth. We slowly pointed our flashlights at it. It was my guy friend (yes the crazy one) he was eating from a deer carcass and when he saw us he stood up and looked at us. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve then said in the calmest voice i've ever heard, "Hello guys. Hasn't it been awhile? It's wonderful for us all to be all together again. Isn't it?" We began to slowly back out when he stepped over the carcass and began walking toward us. We began to run out and he started after us. We climbed into the truck and got out of there. When we were out of the woods we went straight to the party for the rest of night trying to forget everything. Knowing that we would never really forget. The next morning as a we made our way home we passed the woods.
