It was 1863 and the Government approved the conscription in the Union States.  My father was always drunk and beat on me every chance he got.  So I left home and never looked back.  He did not try to stop me.  This was a new start for me.  But I have to admit I was scared!  I don't know how it happened but I was caught in a skirtmish  and left for dead.  Wounds were deep and in my torso.

I was sitting against a tree,  I tried to figure out what my life would be like now.  What would be the meaning?  I was thrown against enemies with grassy fields.  Then within an hour,  he arrived!

A vampire through mortal eyes is a battle,  amazement,  and terror.  I was almost dead.  I could not comprehend what was being said.  I felt like I was in a country thousands of miles away.  With tall buildings,  roadways,  and the sun.  You realize you have seen it everyday.  Everything is perfect in this new world.  They exist and show beauty.

When you gaze at a handsome vampire that is what looking at a vampire entails,  a form of human and glances.  That are beautiful and magnificent.

His hair was a mixture of crimson and black,  as he made his step the grass lowered,  he caressed me,  and he was on his knees in front of me.  I met his eyes,  they were like shadows that had no cage.
