It has been 3 months since Min and Angelo have been talking. One fateful day, it all changed.
"BRIIIING!" The assembly bell had rung, it meant it was assembly time! Everyone loved Assembly, there would be exciting news to share, maybe a skit, or even some talented fellow doing cool stuff! But today, was an exception.
Min happily skipped through the vast hallways, to the open. She had a few buildings to run past to get to the auditorium, where Assembly was held. Herds of Pokemon were streaming out of their buildings, like as if there was a fire drill.
Min streamed past herds of unwilling Pokemon, into the auditorium to have a good view. It was the middle seats, you could see what was going on, without being too close or too far.
In the auditorium, the Principal, Miss Diancie, went onto the stage, looking solemn. Seeing that, everyone went silent. They knew this Assembly was not good. Everyone feared, for what she was going to say.
After testing the microphone, Miss Diancie took out a piece of paper, announcing, "Good morning school, today, we have sad news. Our Vice-Principal, Angelo is resigning. He will be taken over by..." Miss Diancie droned, on and on, for what seems like an eternity.
To Min, nothing was boring. Miss Diancie's droning was not boring. In fact, she was processing thoughts. Why would VP Angelo leave? She thought.
"... And that is the end of today's solemn Assembly. You may go back to your classes." Miss Diancie ended her speech, putting the microphone on its small holder.
I have to see Angelo. I have to! I need to say my last goodbye! Min thought, as she rushed down, from the auditorium. She sprinted towards the car park, and made a beeline towards Angelo, who was carrying suitcases of paperwork, pens, and fax.
"Wait!" Min's tiny voice shouted from behind.
Angelo, looking solemn, turned. "Min, what are you doing here? You should go back to class. Education matters."
Min panted. "I just... wanted to say my last goodbye, before you go. Also, can I have your number?"
Angelo was taken aback. Nobody had ever asked for his number, outside his job. "Oh uh... Thanks. Here." He handed Min a elegantly decorated card, with his number, which he took out from his shirt pocket.
Min gazed happily at the card. "Thank you sir."
Angelo smiled awkwardly. "I'm not a Vice-Principal anymore, just call me Angelo." He took out a green badge from his pocket. "Also, keep this. It is for you." He added, putting the shiny badge onto Min's delicate paws.
Min blushed, as she accepted the gift, gingerly.
"Take it, and go to class. Education is important!" Angelo gave Min a pat on the back, just before she happily skipped off.
As Angelo started his car, he went out of the big school. Whispering to himself, he said, "Goodbye, PII. I will miss you."
He could see Min staring out of class not too far away...
