3rd Person – Remington Focused

Remington awoke quickly as his alarm went off, sounding off loudly and echoing throughout his mostly empty room. Groaning, he grabbed his phone and shut off the annoying and offensive noise. It was the day him and his brothers were leaving for yet another tour. They toured more often than not, but he didn't mind. Honestly, touring was the better part of what they did. As fun as recording in a studio was, it was also quite stressful, and Remington often spent much of his time alone, writing lyrics and contemplating to himself whether or not what he was writing was good enough to show to anyone. It's a difficult life, being a vocalist, never knowing if what you were doing is going to go over well with fans.

Luckily, Palaye Royale had a great fanbase, who loved what they did. Remington really felt the love from them, and it often made him feel better when he thought about them, and knew that what he wrote would go over well. It was a good way to make him feel better whenever he felt done....most of the time. Sometimes there was no escaping the depressing, looming darkness that sometimes swallowed up his mind, making him effectively useless for the day...sometimes longer.

Getting up, he quickly threw on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a white, ripped v-neck shirt. He wasn't overly picky today as he was barely awake, and the fact that they'd spend most of their time travelling didn't make it really necessary to dress up. Still, he added his lock and chain necklaces and the many bracelets to his wrist. It just didn't feel right without them. After all, he was still him, regardless of his lack of sleep.

Grabbing his already packed bag, he headed outside where his brothers were already packing up the small van. Yawning, he nodded to his brothers as they looked at him and helped squish everything into the small vehicle.

"Let's get going, we're already running late," Sebastian said, getting into the driver's seat. Remington followed Emerson, getting into the back seat. He was still so tired, having not gotten much sleep the night before. They were going on tour with Andy Black, someone he had taken so many cues from in his own professional life. It was making him nervous to finally be face to face with him, be able to speak with him. What would he say? Would he say something stupid? It wouldn't be the first time he'd embarrassed himself in a situation like that. He did have a mouth, one he didn't know how to control.

Looking over at Emerson, he noticed his brother already had a book out, nose to the page as he read. So much for an entertaining drive.... Sighing, he pulled out his phone and put in his earphones. Searching through his Spotify, he eventually gave up and just put it on a random playlist. Resting his pillow against the window, he closed his eyes and let the music lull him back to sleep.

Rem.....Remington..... "REM!" Remington jolted awake at the sudden yell and sat up. His surroundings were a blur for a moment before his eyes woke up with him, and saw both of his brother's looking at him. Looking out the window, he noticed that they had stopped in front of what looked like a boring grey building with no windows and only one single, metal door. It was the typical look of a venue from the rear, and he knew they'd arrived at the first spot of the tour. Stretching ,he got out and lit a cigarette. How did I manage to sleep that long....? Holding the paper stick between his lips, he looked around the small parking lot. It didn't look like Andy was here yet. They must have arrived first. His mind was racing, still thinking of what would happen when he met the man. He just knew he was going to embarrass himself. Not just because Andy had been an influence in his career, but the man was gorgeous. It's not like he could deny that. Everyone knew it. It wasn't like he hid it well at all.
