3rd Person – Remington Focused

The first show of a tour is always exhilarating, and Remington find it always sets the mood for the rest of the tour. He's had some incredible tours and some really difficult ones, and him and his brothers had become very good at figuring out which was most likely after the first night. It was a gift that he believed most musicians gain after touring for a bit. It had to be, because how could you not start to pick up on that?

However, after tonight's set, Remington was confused and uncertain exactly what to expect in the future. The show had started like any other. The lights dimmed and as they entered the stage, the energy in the room was already growing and he could feel it. The excitement and the anticipation emanated from the audience like a wave of heat and it fueled him. The music was loud and the crowd was actually very energetic, which made it even easier for Remington to really get into it. He was all over the stage, in the crowd, hanging from fixtures on the roof and so much more. He had never had so much fun in one show before, and it made his heart race.

After their set, he was at the merch table to meet new and returning fans. It was one of his favorite things to do, despite a bit of anxiety that always came with it. There was always a bit of anxiety that followed him around, especially when it was uncertain what to expect. After all, who knows what crazy might end up in the line-up. But as usual, the Royal Council was amazing and he enjoyed himself, and knew that they reached a lot of new fans. That always made him feel like he was floating. It helped push him even closer to his goal. The big stage....the crowd...the screaming lyrics....

But it was after that things got odd. His brothers had disappeared with their touring bandmates to get some alcohol, but Remington was still at the venue as he wanted to meet the fans. By the time the line-up had dwindled down enough for their manager to lead him away, Andy's set was just starting. The lights had dimmed and the intro music was playing, and Remington was curious. Finding his way to side stage, he found Andy had already made his way onto the stage and was smiling at the crowd.

Honestly, Remington preferred the sound of Black Veil Brides over Andy's solo work, but it was still worth appreciating the work that came from Andy for such a project. Plus, it didn't hurt that he got to focus on only him wandering the stage....without a shirt. The entire set, Remington's eyes were glued to the man. He wasn't even sure he breathed during the entire show, he was so sucked in. Remington... Stop obsessing... His mind tried to reason with him, to pull him away, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. It was unusual for him to focus so hard on something...someone.

As the show ended, he realized that the 6'4" man was headed right for him as he wandered off the stage, and Remington's heart started beating eratically. What the hell am I doing? His eyes darted around for an escape route, lest he be caught watching. Would that be weird? ...Of course it would, Rem. Of course it would. His own mind got the better of him, as while he was arguing with himself, Andy was standing right in front of him, apparently expecting a response from him of some kind.

"Uh....I'm sorry, what?" Remington's cheeks turned red as he admitted to being caught not listening. It didn't seem to faze Andy, as the man just chuckled and the bright smile came across his face.

"I said, did you enjoy the show?"

"Oh," Remington spoke softly, smiling a bit embarrassed, "Yeah, it was great...," He spoke, then quickly added, as not to seem like a blushing fan, "Your fans seem to really respond to you." Andy nodded a bit, but didn't really seem interested in continuing the conversation. Good Job, Rem. You bored him. Remington looked away awkwardly, continuing to mentally berate himself.

"Where's the rest of your band?" Remington looked back at Andy as he spoke again, surprised a bit at the vocalization. The dark haired man was walking towards the back rooms, and Remington moved quickly to follow.

"They went to get drunk...." Andy looked back at him and raised a brow.

"Andy you didn't go with them?"

Remington shrugged, glancing at the door as they walked through into the green room. "I was meeting fans, so I missed the ride...." Andy nodded and grabbed a bottle of water, drinking almost all of it before he took his next breath. Remington found himself watching the slow pulse of his throat as he drank. Why is that a turn on...?

"Ah....well, I was thinking of grabbing something to eat...why don't you come with me? We have to clear out of this place anyways..." Remington wasn't sure if that was an invitation or just Andy telling him he needed to leave, but he was going to take what he could get.

"That sounds great. Where were you thinking of going?"

"Probably just McDonalds or something," Andy said with a shrug, picking up all his stuff and pulling on his coat.

"McDonalds?" Remington tilted his head curiously, "Aren't you a vegan?" Andy laughed, and Remington felt even more confused and a bit embarrassed. Did he read something wrong, and make himself look like an idiot? Or wait...maybe it was weird that he did know that! Did he look like a stalker? Or worse... a fanboy?

"I was...but after the divorce, it was some good comfort food. I'll probably eventually get back to that, but for right now....greasy burgers are great..." The grin on Andy's face as he talked about this guilty pleasure brought a smile to Remington's lips as well. It was endearing. "Anyways, we can go somewhere else if you'd rather..."

"No! No, that's fine..."

"A bar actually might have better food...." Andy said, and Remington noticed an odd infliction in his voice. Was he...flirting? It couldn't be...you're imagining things. Still, he decided to play along. After all, maybe he was just joking around.

"Oh, are you drinking again, too?" This brought a loud, light-hearted laugh from Andy.

"No...," he said. The response actually disappointed Remington a little bit. He rather enjoyed drinking... He was sure he'd enjoying drinking with Andy. "But I might be open to being corrupted again...." A smirk was playing on Andy's lips, and Remington's eyes widened. He is flirting! What the hell do I do? The shocked look on Remington's face must not have been lost to Andy as the smirk only grew. "Come on....let's go."

Holy shit, what am I doing?
