Mike Hanlon

"I-I like you."Mike says, into a mirror.
"No! I give up! She's never gonna like me!"He yells,"I'm too...different..."
Mike slams the bathroom door and goes outside. He gets on his bike and rides down the street, towards the barrens.
"M-mike?"A voice asks, Mike gets off his bike and turns around.
Mike let's out a breath,"Oh Hey Bill."
Bill gives him a comforting look,"You Oh-Okay?"
Mike looks to the ground,"Well, not exactly."
Bill walks over to Mike,"You ca-can tell m-m-me."
Mike sighs,"I like Natalie, but she won't ever like me back. I'm too... different."
"D-different? H-how are you di-di-different?" Bill asks, genuinely confused.
Mike looks at his arms, then he grabs bill and places them beside his,"We Are different."
Bill shakes his head,"Nat isn't l-l-like that, sh-she'll ac-accept you."
Mike shakes his head,"I don't know."
"You're t-telling h-her Tom-m-morrow! Or I-I will!"Bill says, seriousness plastered on his face.
Mike sighs,"Fine, I'll do it."
"G-good! Now let's f-find the oth-others!"Bill stutters, they head to get the others.
****NEXT DAY AT THE QUARRY****
"Nat,"Eddie says,"You gonna jump?"
"What? No! Are you crazy?"Natalie shrieks, baking away from the edge.
Mike steps up,"I-i-... I Uh nevermind."
"No what?"Bev asks, trying to help out Mike.
"Nothing important."Mike says, then Bill gets angry.
"NO! It is Im-important!"Bill turns to Natalie," M-mike like you. Bu-but h-h-He thinks bec-c-Cause he's a little di-different, that y-you won't like h-him."
Natalie turns to Mike," I don't care if you're different! I like you Mike! How could you not see?"
"I-I don't know.."Mike says, dropping his head.
"We'll leave you guys alone,"Ben says,"come on guys."
Natalie sits down on the ground,"Mike, I do like you. A lot. actually."
"Really?" He asks, sitting right next to her.
"Yeah,"She says picking at the grass," kinda love... I'm falling for you, hard Mike."
Mike hugs her tightly,"I love you Nat, I love you so so so so much."
"I love you too mike."Natalie says, but she pulls away.
"Wait did I do something wrong?"He asks, Natalie shakes her head.
She lifts his head to meet her eyes,she smiles and leans in.
They kiss for a couple seconds, but it feels like eternity.
"I TOLD YOU THEY'D KISS!"Richie yells, making Natalie and Mike jump back.
"Richie!"Mike yells.
