The Hole

Logan opens the left door which leads to a staircase going down to the boiler room. We all make our way down there and see a small hole that's about three inches in diameter and who knows how deep. I go and look at the hole. I then get on the ground to get a closer look. I peer over the mysterious hole and the whole school starts shaking like a large earthquake. I look up for a brief second and it stops.
"What on earth was that?" Hunter asks.
"I don't know, but I think we're about to find out," I answer.

I look at the hole again, this time for longer. The building shakes again, and then it came. A black substance shoots up the hole. At the top, it forms a hand. It grabs my head and bangs it against the hard concrete then goes for my neck choking me.
"Liz!!" Hunter yells. The rest of the group runs to my side and struggle to get me out of its reach.
"We have to get out of here!" Reagan says.
"Yeah, no kidding! You alright Eliza?" Dylan asks me.
"Yeah just a scratch," I dryly exclaim with a smile, "but I think we have more to worry about right now."

We make way up the stairs and into the hallway as fast as we can. The darkness follows us at an unbelievable rate. As we make it to the door at the end of the hallway we all turn around to see if it was still following us. It had stopped at the storage closet and seemed to be looking into it. The dark substance surrounded the skeleton and the shoes in a cloudlike form swirling around. Then we saw the skeleton come to life wearing the shoes that were in the closet.
"What are you standing there for!? Let's get out of here, and stare at it later!" I yell at the others. "And, I for one don't want to stay and get choked again!"

We run into the room with the television and couch. The door towards the way we came into the school closed before us like magic. The skeleton gets closer and closer, then he stops he peers up at an exit sign. He points his hand to it and it rips off the wall and is flung at our feet. It looked like a worse version of Darth Vader using 'the force'.
"Watch out," Dylan says.

Bang! Dylan kicks the door open and we all storm through. We reach the graffiti-filled walls with a couple pieces of old furniture. "Were almost out," I think. The skeleton opens its mouth and a loud, defining pitch comes out of it. We all fall to our knees and cover our ears. I barely hear glass break. We all see the furniture being flown everywhere. The skeleton slightly closes his mouth and the pitch is a bit lower but still, hurts. He points a bony finger (no pun intended) to the graffitied walls. Somehow nothing that we can see spells out the words "Die" and then "No telling". We all get to our feet as fast as we can and run as fast as we can to our rides. We barely make it to them.
"Guys, I can't. I won't be fast enough on a skateboard," I say. They all look at each other, worried.
"Here hop on," Dylan says, "I have a peg bike."
"Alright. Let's get out of here" I say.

We all head out of the school ground. I look back worried the skeleton was still coming after us. He was just standing there in the mud; then right before my eyes, he disappears into a cloud of dark smoke. The skeleton, everything it disappears into a cloud of black dust leaving a muddy footprint behind. The darkness seemed to go back into the school.
