11:15 pm - faraway from the party

"OMG!" I yelled. "You have a sixth finger."

He laughed out loud at my outburst, and raised his two hands, wiggled his fingers at me. "Two sixth fingers actually. Since birth."

I stared at the little knobs, that poked out right beside his pinkies. I touched them and looked at him. "Do they hurt?"

He shook his head.

"They're so cute." I purred. "Do you feel like an alien for having twelve fingers?" I joked.

He burst out laughing, and it was so endearing that he'd laugh at my lame jokes.

Actually he'd laughed alot during these short time that we've spent together. A throaty, sexy laughter. He was fun to be with.

I was in a state of euphoria at this very moment, ready to go anywhere with him. Even to Mars.

We were faraway from the crowd and party now, and were sitting side by side at the bank of the community lagoon, alone, with no one around. Just us. Enjoying each other's company so much, talking and laughing about everything.

With a content sigh, I studied his face, at least the part that were visible and the yearning to know his real name gripped me again. If we ever met again, there's no way I'd be able to recognise him. I couldn't even tell the real colour of his eyes. "I still don't know your name, Dracula. You can't let me keep calling you Dracula."

"I don't know your name either, but a nick has been ringing in my mind the whole time."

That got my attention. "And that is?"

"Talisman." He blurted out softly. Watching me.

"What?" I chuckled. "Why that?"

"You brought me good luck tonight." He grinned.

"Really? How?"

"Well, my whole day has be sour, with my family pushing me around, and it only got much better when I met you."

"Wow!" That short description of his day, sounded exactly like mine. My day had been sour too. Filled with arguments with my parents and the entire extended family. "I guess we crossed paths for a reason then."

"I totally agree." He nodded and something beeped. He pushed back his left sleeve and looked down at the watch on his wrist, and I realised that I hadn't noticed it since. "Oh damn. I have to go." His voice sounded so regretful and my heart dropped into a pit.

"Why?"

"I have to be somewhere by twelve thirty. It's important." His eyes looked so dark.

I remained silent for moments, watching him sadly. "I don't want you to go."

He gave me a sad chuckle and sighed deeply. "I don't want to leave either, Talisman. But I have to go pick up my brother at the airport, or he's going to spend the night there." He explained softly and I finally understood. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Talisman. A great pleasure."

I smiled sadly and watched him as he walked away. "Same here, Dracula. Same here." I whispered and stayed there at the lagoon, feeling peaceful and sad at the same time. I couldn't shake the feeling that I just lost someone important.
