The next day at school, Ms.Stevens gave the class ten minutes towards the end of the period to work on their projects with their partners. She had planned the project so that it would take some time for the students to make. She didn't want them to just whip up a quick power point in three days.

Emma moved to the back of the room where Killian sat, like she had done the day before. He was leaning back with his feet propped onto the desk and his eyes closed as usual. She didn't say anything when she first sat down, because she assumed that he would of heard her.

After 30 second of awkward silence, Emma waved her hand in front of Killian's face. "Hello? Are you awake?" She asked him. Killian slowly crept his left eye open so he could witness Emma's actions.

"I heard you move," he said before shifting in his seat to get in to a more comfortable position.

"Well why didn't you say anything? You made me look like a complete fool," Emma replied with a scoff and an eye roll.

"That was the point," he mumbled with his eyes still closed. Emma rolled her eyes again and push Killian's shoulder in a playful manner.

"Ugh, you're such a jerk," she said. Killian let out a little "mhmm" as he still sat there in the same position as always.

"Anyway," Emma spoke, "I started the power point last night. I just have a title for now though."

"That's good," Killian replied in a mumble before licking his dry lips.

"Okay seriously. What is wrong with you?" Emma asked him. He seemed like he was actually interested in the project yesterday, and she thought he actually wanted to help. Now he was back to this 'punk who doesn't care about anything' attitude. She didn't like it one bit.

"That's a bit rude ain't it?" He replied.

"Well yesterday you were all interested in the project, and today you just seem like you don't care," Emma stated. She wouldn't tolerate his behavior. She wasn't going to get a bad grade on this assignment just because Killian decided to be a little punk about it.

"I'm just tired I guess," he said as he shrugged his shoulders. Emma didn't believe him. She knew there was something that he was hiding, and she knew that she would figure it out eventually. No matter what it took, but now wasn't the right time.

"Whatever. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to come over tonight," Emma replied as she quickly changed her tone of voice to a more preppy and confident one. Killian quickly sat up in his seat, it had been a while since a girl invited him over to their house.

"I know I'm devilishly handsome and all Swan, but jeez, at least take me on a date first," Killian said as a smirk came upon his face. It was the best way he could think of to cover up his surprise. Emma rolled her eyes once again at him.

"I mean to help me work on the project," she responded in an annoyed tone.

"Of course. I knew that. Sure, what time do you want me to come over?" He asked her. It took Emma a few seconds to fully realize that he actually accepted her invite to her house. She really thought that he hated her guts.

"Um, six maybe?" she responded.

"Sounds good to me," he said as he reached in his back right pocket for his phone, "here, put your number in my phone, and text me your address." Emma's eyebrows rose in surprise for a brief moment, but she quickly tried to hide her surprise. She still found it weird that he actually didn't hate her as much as she thought, and that he had just asked for her number.
