"So you're telling me, you've lived here your whole life and have never swam in this lake?" Kit questions me. I sigh heavily and look at the ground embarrassed. "I can't believe you! Water this close to your house! And you never swam in it. I am so disappointed in you." She shakes her head and tsks.

"It's not my fault you can practically see the diseases you could get just from swimming in -oh my god, I just saw a piece of turd floating by!" She scoffs in disbelief until she sees it. We both scream and laugh hysterically. "So do you get my point now?!"

She nods her head quickly. I grab her bag from her hand before she can protest. She just shrugs and follows me as we walk towards my truck. She looks around the park in deep thought. I look at her and smile. She sees the corner of my mouth go up and gives a questioning glance. I just keep smiling and spot my truck.

"Are you sure it's fine to park my car here overnight," She worries. "Because don't think I won't kill you if it gets towed just because you're my friend." I laugh and her face turns serious. I widen my eyes in mock fear. I open her door for her.

"Wow, such a gentleman," She jokes. I laugh as I close the door after her.

"Such a gentlewoman," I correct her as I get into my seat.

"Such a weirdo," She states.

"Such a wonderful person," I correct her yet again. I buckle win and start the truck.

"Sure. In your dreams," She laughs and opens her phone when it goes off. I drive towards my house. I try to focus on the road the whole time, not wanting to kill her the very first day we meet and all. But I have to admit I glance her every once in awhile. I didn't get into a crash, so that's good.

"Wow, your house is pretty! Oh man! Now I don't want to go back to my family's rinky dink cabin," Kit says as we pull into my driveway. I blush as she continues to go on and on about it. I look at my french doors and large porch with a different perspective.. I guess it is kind of a nice house.

"Kit-" I stop as I realize I don't know if that's her real name or a nickname. "Is Kit a nickname?" She shakes her head. "Kit is your real name? Cool." I get out of the truck, and before she can open her door I open it for her. She laughs lightly and steps out with a fancy curtsy. I roll my eyes and grab her duffel bag for her.
